Hello music lovers! 🎵🎧 🎵
The first weekend of summer is upon us with #newtunes sounds from well-known and lesser-known music artists of every genre and style you can think of.
A suggestion for a hot, well, here at least, weekend, listening for those who don't have time to follow in detail what's happening in this wide, processed, and unprocessed field of music creation.
As it's not a business, it's more for fun, it's the same as always - if you don't like something you can just skip it. Music4life! 😁
Destroyer - Eat the Wine, Drink the Bread
Dan Bejar, Canadian singer and songwriter with his Destroyer team released a new album 'Labyrinthitis'. (He is also known for his work with The New Pornographers.) Groovy and beat and New Order techno minimalism can be heard from every song, popping up with impressive lyrics and vocals.
Desert Dwellers - Traversing the Endless Road (Haquin Remix)
Two music producers and DJs, Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, from New Mexico and California, work together for almost twenty years in the field of electronic music aka downtempo, ambient, and psytrance.
'Breath: Portal to Stillness' is a fourth remix of the duo's album Breath from 2019.
Tony Malacara - Ghostly Shadows
New surprise for me. The first solo album of Tony Malacara, Mexican American musician from Southern California. He performed internationally with a Mystic Braves, a garage rock, and psychedelic band, playing as an opener for iconic 60s groups.
All songs are psychedelic and dreamy, as if they came out of the 1960s, from a completely different time.
IC3PEAK - I'm not evil, I'm sad
The Russian duo, IC3PEAK, has in recent years attracted the attention of not only subcultural but also mainstream international media, notably by canceling performances due to political satire in lyrics and video.
On their latest album 'Kiss of Death', the darkness, pain, and howling open up in all their ugly appeal. Love, hate, death, and pain are the main themes, and the singer's extraordinary vocals go from gentle folk chants to hysterical witchcraft rituals. Highly recommended.
Muse - Will Of The People
Muse, one of the biggest rock attractions of our time, has a new single announcing an album of the same name and a European tour.
It's a fictional story about fictional people, says the singer, but the main thing is the music, or rather the anthem from the rock'n'roll song. Of course.
Given that the band owns a whole bunch of music awards (two Grammys, an American Music The award, five MTV Europe Music Awards, two Brit Awards, eleven NME Awards, and seven Q Awards, amongst others) it's best to give them to belief.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Spitting Off the Edge of the World
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have released a new song. This is not unusual, except that it's the first new song in nine years.
The last album 'Mosquito' was released in 2013.
But it looks like their fans haven't forgotten them yet and the song is climbing the charts fast.
Liam Gallagher - Diamond in the Dark
Liam Gallagher's first two solo albums went to #1 on the charts - 'As You Were' and 'Why Me? Why Not'.
Well, now we have a third album out, 'C'Mon You Know'.
As on all the others, on this album, Liam tackles classic rock themes and '60s influences, mixing the Beatles, Stones, Hendrix, T-Rex, and many more.
Of course, his distinctive vocals are dominant.
Goribor - Sijajne niti
And finally, something that is not new, it's just been ten years since the second, double album of Goribor, in my opinion, the last great band from the former Yugoslavia.
In Dancing Bear, a Zagreb, Croatia-based label, released a recording from 2013.
Goribor was a cult band, their extraordinary musical expression close to bands like Joy Division and Ekaterina Velika. The devastating power of Aleksandar Stojkovic's lyrics, charismatic frontman and one of the most powerful rock poets in the region, who released three collections of songs are the reason why Goribor has managed to shake up the scene in just a few years, becoming a concert 'sensation' and secure its place in rock history. Every honor!
ugh... there's mess ... I need to change something ... this year ... maybe 😁
... anyway, if you're courious just check the dates and listen to songs ...
