The Zephyr Bones - No One

New to me. The Zephyr Bones emerged in 2015 in Spain. Melodic, hazy, and psychedelic dream pop flickers around nostalgic vocals. That's the band I'd like to listen to on the beach. With their sounds, they take you to secret places filled with dreams and promises. Highly recommend it for summer.

MeduzaleM - Midget

The trio is from Ankaran, Slovenia. They got the attention of the music critics right at the beginning, in 2015:

Raised on burja wind, Teran wine, and juniper brandy, the trio operates with mathematical riffs and piercing vocals while struggling with the challenges of sound, social criticism, and shallowness of everyday life.

This is the intro to the new album La Terza gamba (The third leg). There will be more of these guys.

Naked - Stan Ljubavi

Naked, from Belgrade, Serbia, are multi-instrumentalists and draw musical inspiration from their own Balkan tradition, funk, and free jazz. They recorded this video on an American tour. Sensual rhythms with touches of Mediterranean, African, and Eastern European heritage. Stan ljubavi in English means The apartment of love.

Karkhana - Rock Farock

Karkhana is an international band based in Beirut. It consists of seven experienced musicians coming from Beirut, Istanbul, Cairo, and Chicago. Their central means of expression is the freedom of free jazz, with influences from the more traditional sounds of the Middle East and Africa, such as taarab or shaabi music, to Western progressive and psychedelic rock and, last but not least, electronics. The main ingredient, of course, is jazz, which is the glue that holds the whole together.

Los Lobos - Misery

The new Los Lobos album, full of covers, Native Sons, is a tribute to their hometown, Los Angeles. This song is a cover of Motown's Barrett Strong hit from 1961. The complete album is great. Very recommend.

Bloodslide - MVP

This is a new band, new to me, also. Somewhere read that they're a post-punk supergroup.

A new trio featuring Protomartyr’s Greg Ahee on guitar, Preoccupations’ Mike Wallace on drums, and vocalist AJ Lambert, who happens to be Nancy Sinatra’s daughter.

Well, the sound is very well produced, it is clear to them what they want and I'm sure we'll hear more about them.

Amyl and The Sniffers - Security

The fierce Australian quartet Amyl and the Sniffers recently released a new single from the upcoming album "Comfort To Me" which will be released on September 10. The song ‘Security’ is a real hook on addiction, and with the extraordinary, bold vocal performance of the charismatic Amy Taylor, it became a favorite at their live gigs and premiered on BBC Radio 1.

David Crosby - The Other Side of Midnight

When I listen to David Crosby's latest album For Free, it seems to me that fifty years have not passed since his most creative works, but that these are coming on his eightieth birthday. Constant CSN & Y mood. A fascinating, crystal clear voice still, after all his troubles.
