When I looked at what I had chosen for this post at all, I found that you would (if you wanted to, of course) hear quite a few guitar sounds of different genres. It’s not that this was intentional but I listened to it the most last week.

If you like the selection, I'll be satisfied and it means that there is still hope for me. :)

Martin Gore - Howler

Martin Gore is a musician and songwriter, primarily known as one of the members of Depeche Mode. This piece is from his new solo EP, instrumental and experimental, maybe futuristic (could be used for a sci-fi movie as soundtrack...) but to me sounds as post-pandemic vibe. :)

e.s.t. - From Gagarin's Point Of View

Esbjörn Svensson Trio or e.s.t. is probably the best known Swedish jazz trio. Their music is mixture of classical jazz, rock and techno elements. I heard this tune with timeless piano many times but never with this nadrealistic video. Enjoy in it.

Deströyer 666 - Trialed by Fire

This Australian black metal band has been insisting since 1994. They have a lot of followers who are passionate about live performances. The band is very controversial, at their concerts they have espoused islamophobic, misogynistic, and homophobic messages, so many tours was canceled due some incidents.

Yasmin Williams - Urban Driftwood

Yasmin Williams is new name, future star (maybe), she has the unique style of playing acoustic guitar. Like a keyboard. Meditative repetitions with hand drums create sonic landscapes no matter where on the Earth. Very original. I’m sure she still has a lot to say.

TRIPTYKON - Tree Of Suffocating Souls

New music for me. The video is nothing special, but the music has a strong atmosphere and melodic intensity down to the smallest detail. Good production.

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross - Just Us

That's a piece from soundtrack for the animated movie Soul which has garnered quite a bit of critical attention .. they say it will probably be an Oscar for film music ... well ... we'll see ...

Ivan Grobenski - Dojdi, draga, dojdi

Ivan Grobenski, from Croatia, is better known as the guitarist of the group Moskau than as a singer-songwriter. Here he presents us a wonderful love song (in English: Come darling, come). You have to get chills when you listen to that.

Rodrigo y Gabriela - Hanuman

This acoustic Mexican duo is something new to me. Someone on FB shared it. Great music by two guitar virtuosos who mix different genres, from flamenco, rock to heavy metal. So far, they have released five studio albums, three live albums, one EP, and quite a bit of film music. They also starred in the White House for President Barrack Obama. I'm ashamed I didn't know them :(
