This week rock music predominates, at least for me. I’ve listened to different shades of this musical style, which, at least it seems to me, is no longer as much as it used to be. Well, pearls and new and old are still to be found.

If you like any of this it’s cool. If you don't like it, it's ok, too. You know, tastes are different.

Alt-J - Something Good

Alt-J, English indie-rock / pop, which is globally popular, knows how to create one such special festive atmosphere that you can't resist and you wait until the end of the piece.

Radiohead - Ful Stop

Radiohead went deeper with the new album into electronics and experimental music than I expected. But I'm not disappointed. This music is a reflection of the times we live in. Controlled, minimalistic, a bit gloomy, melodious, rhythmic, and danceable.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Straws In The Wind

This Australian band is so productive that I don't follow everything anymore, but this is supposedly the latest, released on September 15th. The previous album was more black metallic and didn’t suit me too well, but this one is epic. Top musicians.

The Verve - Lucky Man

Britpop in one of its best bands. I was attracted to it because I thought it was an adaptation of one older song by ELP. Well, no. They say it's good against depression.

Another Luck Man, closer to me than the one from Verve (I had heard it many years before), and I haven’t watched this clip of top musicians Emerson, Like and Palmer from the Montreux Jazz Festival yet.

Van Halen - You Really Got Me

It's the cover of the Kinks, but it shows the mastery of the guitar and is in memory of the great musician and top guitarist Eddie Van Halen, who passed away this week. R.I.P.
