Hello music lovers! 🎵🎧🎤🎵

Have you listened to anything today? It doesn't matter if it's something new or old, you can reply in the comments if you like, what matters is that you listened :)

If you haven't, here are some new tunes for you, as usual from a variety of genres, from established artists to unknown names who want to introduce their sonic creations and #newtunes to the world.
If you don't like something, feel free to skip :)

Placebo - Surrounded By Spies

English art-rock musicians Placebo have released a new single 'Surrounded By Spies' which will be found on the upcoming studio album. This is a true story told through the prism of paranoia, complete contempt for the modern society, and the glorification of supervisory capitalism, said leader Brian Molko when he realized his neighbors were spying on him. Okay, even paranoia can turn into a pop song but we shouldn’t overdo it ...

Slipknot - The Chapeltown Rag

The band Slipknot has released a new song called The Chapeltown Rag. The song is named after a suburb of West Yorkshire, where most of the murders were committed by the most famous serial killer, Peter Sutcliffe, better known by the nickname 'Yorkshire Rippe'.
Well, here it is. Brutal, of course.

Naked - Pada mrak

Naked, band from Belgrade, Serbia, radiate some world music energy and are worthy not only of the region but also of the world scene. 'Pada mrak' in English means 'It's getting dark'.
Although it's no secret that world music is part of the general trend, never the main one, but always there, the fact is that "ours" got lost somewhere in the scene we have been following for years. With an infectious rhythm and a series of improvisations of all instruments, the musicians introduce us to the dolce vita mood to show us that joy and happiness are not always under the spotlight, although their potential can not avoid them.

Old Time Relijun - Bionic Trunk

I know this band!
I recorded their performance way back in 2000 in club MKNZ. I thought they had disappeared, but apparently, they are still on the scene! An unearthly combo from Olympia, Washington. Resistance, magic, and hope are their vehicle. What I wrote about them at that time:

Confused garage dub meets psycho hillbilly twang on the free jazz train to noisy gospel swamp-raga inferno.

They are different today.

🎵🎧🎤

Diablo Swing Orchestra - Celebremos Lo Inevitable

By the way, one of the oldest Swedish metal bands (formed back in 2003) doesn't have any serious competition in its country. On this, the fifth album in a row, they play (among other things) with elements of metal in a clash with the always optimistic, notes of sunny Mexico.
Avant-garde musicians, who combine metal with swing, flamenco, jazz, folk, operetta, cabaret in the sounds of Django Reinhardt's swing memories. Listening to their music is always a smart choice for a carpe diem.

🎵🎧🎤

L'Rain - Find It

A new name for me. L'Rain, real name Taja Cheek, is a Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter. In, her second album, Fatique, she combines music from the African diaspora, from the soul, jazz, funk, hip hop to the gospel. A fusion of styles in the true sense of the word. Sonic magic that disorientates us and a dreamy pop melancholy, at moments ecstatic.

🎵🎧🎤

Å IZA - Oprostite, oprostite, oprostite

Å iza (Shiza) is a drums&bass duo from Koprivnica, Croatia. 'Sorry, sorry, sorry' (in English), is a song that deals with a nice and polite gesture. Of course, Shiza with his music and attitude is the complete opposite.
The guys clearly convey the message with strong images in the verses (sorry for the mess, while I'm sprinkled with ashes), sharp bass tones, powerful drums, and loud and angry vocals. They definitely create and perform their music without compromise and have no one to apologize to for anything.

🎵🎧🎤

Shubh Saran - Mother Tongue Influence

New York is clearly the leading cosmopolitan melting pot of sound. Well, at least it seems that way to me. This musician, guitarist at heart, and composer, with Hindustani roots, is also a new name for me.
He himself says that he feels culturally somewhat lost and that he has only now, through the music he makes, begun to find his identity. A superb fusion of sounds and instruments, in every track, from punk, rock to folk and jazz. I recommend listening to the whole Inglish album.
