Abel Tesfaye, known as The Weeknd, has published a version of his play Sacrifice with the band Swedish House Mafia. This song originally appeared on his new album Dawn FM, which was released recently. It's rapidly climbing the charts.

Artifacts - Blessed

The free-jazz trio from Chicago, USA, is quite unconventional. It consists of flute, cello, and drums. Mike Reed, Nicole Mitchell, and Tomeka Reid have established names on the jazz improv scene, maybe better known as members of the other ensembles.
Free and spiritual, with frequent changes and repetitions, and references to hip-hop and postfusion. Recommended for relaxation and calming down.

Surfbort - Big Star

Originally from New York, Surfbort has been performing since 2015 and, with frontwoman Dani Miller, are considered one of the wildest bands in the underground of modern punk-rock music, both visually and musically.
A very provocative band, both for their wild outfits and their humorous and self-ironic lyrics, which are at times vulgar.

Nejc Pipp - Moloko Plus

20-year-old Nejc Pipp, Škofja Loka, Slovenia, is a new face for me, he very discreetly stepped on the music floor with his intimate debut album 'Ulysses'. He is a representative of Generation Z, who, so they say, will save us.
In short, this is an example of full-blooded contemporary pop that ignores stylistic constraints and is not limited by the boundaries of mainstream and alternative.

Starscream Polycule - Ornament

An American duo, combining vocalist and producer Ezra Liz Miriam and vocalist Lindsay Gertrude, who created the debut Starscream Polycule based on the robot comics More Than Meets The Eye and Lost Light.
Although it's basically fanfiction music, I'd say there's more to it than that, because it's intertwined with mashup culture, videogame soundtracks, jazz, beat-making, and a whole lot of distortion and glitch.

Klotljudi - Jozef Heler

The band from the alternative scene in Belgrade, Serbia. It's not new, this song is from their second album 'Fascism of love' and it stuck in my ears mainly because of the very old, early psychedelic sound like Pink Floyd with Syd Barret, which you can hardly hear any more from new bands. Distortion-amplified guitar riffs, surreal chants, and Farfisa organs. Crazy.

Caliza - Nuestros Restos

Elisa Pérez aka Caliza is a Spanish multi-instrumentalist, producer, and vocalist based in Madrid. She makes no secret of her love for alternative pop, uses a lot of synthesizer effects, retro associations, and layering, and leans towards the experimental side of synthpop. Very pleasing to the ears.

underscores - Gunk

underscores is a project by Californian Devon Karpf, who presents his music as a 'new wave of the future'. It's sonically diverse and varied, from the melancholic greyness of existentialist teenage problems to the blue skies of dubstep drones, ironically reflecting the American dream. Hyper pop? Maybe. Or maybe not.
