Another day, another ice cream tub. Today I have for you the Magnum Double Salted Caramel Ice Cream Tub.

Magnum Tub Double Salted Caramel Ice Cream

It’s really hard having to wait 10 minutes for these to thaw before you can dig in. Same as the Classic Ice Cream Tub, I smash through the thick chocolate later on top and squeeze the sides to hear the cracking of the chocolate. Once the formalities were done, I dug my spoon right in. I couldn’t wait to get to all that salted caramel goodness. So when I did eventually put the spoon in my mouth, I was greeted with the creamy vanilla ice cream, the milk chocolate shards and the caramel sauce. I have to say, the caramel sauce wasn’t very salty. I don’t think I got a hint of salt all the way throughout the tub. It just tasted of caramel to me. Then I was expecting to come across some salted sugar pieces. I don’t think I came across one! If it was in there, then it must have melted because I definitely didn’t get any crunch pieces, apart from the chocolate shards. I was left feeling a little disappointed with this one.

A nice caramel ice cream tub, but if it’s the salt you are after, then I’d swerve this and go for something else. This really didn’t have that salty sweet flavour I was expecting.
