I do love a good chicken kiev and I like them even better when they are bitesized. These were in Marks and Spencer’s party food range and I thought these would go really well with the M&S Pizza Hot Eating Dip. I had these just after the Christmas period finished and I thought it I’m going to destroy my diet, then I will do it with this.

M&S British 12 Mini Chicken & Garlic Kievs

”Chicken kievs made from selected pieces of British chicken breast with a garlic and herb soft cheese filling, coated in golden gluten-free breadcrumbs."

These chicken kiev were really garlicky and I love that. I don’t like it when the kiev’s don’t have much flavour to them at all. If it says garlic, I expect garlic. These were good and I probably stank afterwards. The herby cream cheese filling definitely was full of garlic flavour as I said. I wish there was more herbs in it though as I do feel like the garlic overpowered the herbs, but I didn’t mind too much. I suppose as I was dunking the majority of these into M&S Pizza Hot Eating Dip, that could be another reason why I couldn’t get all the flavours. I have had these before but from their frozen section. not from their chilled section, and those are packed full of garlic and herb flavour.

I don’t know if these are made differently to the frozen ones, but I would have them again. The chicken tasted like chicken and not processed rubbish. You wouldn’t expect anything less from M&S. A very tasty mini kiev and as you’d expect from me… I ate them all!
