Beer Tasting: Lobik Regional At Best and San Miguel Fresca

Hello, beer tasters! 🍺 🍻 😎 🍻 🍺

Strange times. Yesterday was the first day of spring but cold as hell. It’s very sunny, but it hasn’t been so cold here in mid-March for at least 10 years, meteorologists say.
And vaccination. I was vaccinated with the first dose of Astra Zeneca. I ask the doctor how about a beer now? Um ... she looked at me and said: Two at most.
Cool, I'm relieved, I was already expecting to have to skip today's #beersaturday ...

Otherwise, I didn't drink any alcohol yesterday because about four hours after the vaccination I started shaking from the cold, then my body temperature rose to 39 degrees Celsius and I was totally sick, all my bones ached ... like some kind of flu ...
Today, thank God, everything calmed down and we went for a beer :)

Lobik Regional At Best: Pre Boxing Day

Brewed by Lobik Craft Brewery, Ruše, Slovenia. Can, 0.33 l, alcohol 7% ABV. It's NEIPA style, which means that's a New England IPA or American IPA with intense fruity flavors and less bitterness than traditional IPA.

They say that's experimental series with Endevaour and Ernest hops and that they literally don't know what's brewed ... hm ...

The beer is dull orange color, the foam is small. The first sip is quite bitter. Fruit flavors, pineapple, peach are present but less than I expected, it is not exactly NEIPA it seems to me, bitterness also prevails in the aftertaste for quite some time.

Mixed feelings. This is, as far as I'm concerned, definitely a pronounced IPA. Maybe too pronounced for my taste. I consider it a good thing that they admitted that they don't know exactly what will be brewed, that it's experimental ... I don't think I will host it in my fridge.

San Miguel Fresca

Brewed by Mahou San Miguel, Barcelona, Spain. Bottle, 0.33 l, alcohol 4.4 % ABV.

The beer is light yellow in color, with very little foam. The first sip is sweet-tasting, you can feel the corn, the bitterness of the hops is not even in the background, easy, very watery. In fact, it’s so vague that I don’t know what to say.

Yes, I can confirm that this is a beer but one of the worst I have ever tasted. It may be better in the summer, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Best to forget it as soon as possible.
