Beer Tasting: Vitus

Hello beer tasters and other Steemians!

I was quite busy last days, my last beer tasting was 10 days ago. And, after a hard, successful week, a colleague invited me to a beer of his choice. We go to drink Vitus. Vitus? Never heard of it, but OK. Don't worry, you won't be sorry, he said.

Vitus is brewed by Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan, Freising, Bavaria, Germany.
They say that "It is a specialty with a round character based on the extra long storage time. The fruity smell of dried apricots joins aromas of citrus, cloves, and hints of banana. Full-bodied and sparkling with an effervescent mouthfeel. Thus, the Vitus does not taste like a typical Bock beer but more like a noble, fruity wheat beer. Perfect with red meat, strong cheese and also able to guide desserts."

Let's drink it. Dark hazy yellow color, a lot of foam. Amazing taste, starting with bitterness, following with caramel and fruity notes and malty sweet finish.
Great beer. I definitely recommend and I'm not surprised that this beer won this year's Golden Prize at European Beer Star.

It was cold and dark outside, the photos are not so good but the beer was great. We order another round :)
