Castra Galla Blonde Ale
Brewed by Castra Pivovarna, Ajdovščina, Slovenia. Bottle, 0.33 l, alcohol 4.5% ABV. Blonde Ale, gently bitter, refreshing hot summer days with a caramel finish they say.
Well yeah, I drink it on a very cold winter day. I probably don't need to cool it. Or?
The beer is a misty golden yellow color, the foam is not very much. The first sip goes smoothly down my throat, I feel a sting of carbon dioxide in my tongue, so it's spicy, more than I'm used to with beer. The bitterness of the hops is small and not pronounced, the malt is felt more and in the end the sweetness, and I somehow did not feel the caramel finish. It is balanced, decent to drink one bottle but nothing special. I would drink it all the way everywhere. :)

Chimay Dorée Gold
Brewed by Abbaye de Scourmont - Chimay, Hainaut, Belgium. Belgian Ale, bottle, 0.33 l, alcohol 4.8% ABV.
Monks table beer, in the past, was reserved only for members of the monastery community, their guests, and co-workers. Brewed with dried orange peel and coriander, this spicy Belgian ale was created by Trappist monks as an accompaniment to their evening meals.
The beer is foggy yellow in color, foams a little but is compact. The first sip goes quickly, I feel spicy here too, and the hops and malt but nothing stand out so as to disturb the taste.
In the end, a discreet citrus aroma remains in my mouth. Balanced and drinkable, very appropriate.
Both beers are decent and if you offer them to anyone you won’t be embarrassed. Maybe some of this will even land in my fridge ...
