I really like those caramelised biscuits you get with your coffee and when I saw these biscuits in a sandwich form I knew I really wanted to try them. So I did.
Lotus Biscoff Sandwich Original Cream

I opened the packet and took out the first sandwich. The biscuit looked quite special with its fancy lotus design. It definitely smelled like a Lotus biscuit and I'm pretty sure it was going to taste like one too. I had my first bite. My teeth crunched through the biscuits and then sank into the soft yet firm cream filling. The filling was a very pale biscuit colour and it tasted like a mild version of the caramelised biscuit. It was nice, but I felt like it took the flavour away from the caramelised biscuit.
I did like these biscuits and they were something different for sure, but I think if I really want that deep caramelised biscuit and spice flavour (because I'm sure there's nutmeg or cinnamon in there) then I would 100% go for the flat finger Lotus biscuits. They're very good for dunking too. The sandwich ones were ok for dunking, but to keep the strong flavour I would definitely recommend the fingers.
