So let me spin the wheel again and see what I get:
Astra Militarum, Wyvern
10th Edition Index
The Wyvern is an Artillery piece of the Imperial Guard that is practically a variant of the Hydra. You build both of these tanks from the same kit.
This guy can stand still and get the bonus that negates the Indirect Fire de-buff and its job is to either target Infantry or to Disrupt anything you want to reduce in accuracy.
You can put one into your Astra Militarum army for 110pts and costs you $65.

Save 3+(armor/invul/Feel No Pain) The invul is only against Ranged attacks.

Weapons
It is all about Ranged weapons. It's main focus is the Wyvern quad stormshard mortar. It also has a Heavy Bolter which can be swapped out for a Heavy Flamer but I am not sure why. It can take 1x Hunter-Killer Missile.
Ranged:

48" Range, 2D6 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S5, AP0 and 1 Damage
Heavy, Indirect Fire (Like I say, stand still and hit on a 4+, move and hit on a 5+ when shooting Indirect or 4+ when you can see... or stand still and see the target for a 3+ to Hit), Ignores Cover (Only useful against Sv 4+ or worse), Blast (get extra hits against Hordes, you are rolling 2D6 so average of 7 but can be between 2 and 12 shots otherwise.) Twin-Linked (Re-Roll to Wound, great for hurting anything.)
Heavy Flamer
12" Range, D6 Attacks, Torrent, S5, AP-1 and 1 Damage
Ignores Cover
OR
Heavy Bolter
36" Range, 3 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S5, AP-1 and 2 Damage
Sustained Hits 1
Hunter-killer Missile
48" Range, 1 Attack, Hitting on 4+, S14, AP-3 and D6 Damage
One Shot
Melee:

3 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S6, Ap0, 1 Damage each
Abilities
Suppression Bombardment
You just need to HIT one shot from that 2D6 weapon on your target and they are Suppressed unit your next turn. -1 to Hit while Suppressed.
There are a few units in the game that can ignore modifiers. Otherwise, the Wyvern is valuable in reducing the effectiveness of an enemy unit even if it does not kill it.
Thoughts
This tank is the natural enemy of the 20-man Ork Mob... It is going to average 11 Shots, 5-6 Hits. 3-4 Wounds on a Re-roll and the Orks do not have great armor.
The main boon here is to remove the to Hit roll from the Orks.
When playing against Imperial Knights where there are no Infantry to frag, Suppressing a big Knight while possibly forcing it to roll some armor saves is good. And then there is always the Hunter-killer Missile to help out.
That makes 2 Astra Militarum Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 2.2% Completed and the total Completed on 8.34% Complete!
