Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - The Great Unit Review Wheel! post!

However, on the 26th one, I have decided that it is big enough to call this series a Library!

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit!

In this series, I will review one unit at a time, picking them randomly.

So let me spin the wheel again and see what I get:

Chaos Space Marines, Haarken Worldclaimer

10th Edition Index Cards

Haarken is a Chaos Lord of the Black Legion and server the Warmaster Abbadon the Despoiler. He is equipped with a Jump Pack and leads Chaos Raptors into battle.

Thus a fast jump infantry Lord. Sort of like the Chaos version of Kayvaan Shrike.

Stats

Movement 12"
Toughness 4
Save 3+/4++(armor/invul/Feel No Pain)
Wounds 5
Ld 6+
OC 1

Weapons

Ranged: Helspear (He throws his spear! ...and then has it back in hand to fight Melee with it.
12" Range. 1 Shot with Sustained Hits D3, Hits on a 2+, Strength 8, AP-3 and 3 Damage

Goo enough to take some wounds of a light vehicle or small tank or even kill a Terminator! This weapon also has the Assault rule, meaning that he can throw it even after making an Advance move. (12"+D6")

Melee:

Herald’s Talon
6 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, Strength 5, AP-2, 2 Damage each
This is basically like a relic blade level of weapon

Helspear - Extra Attacks! Meaning he can hit with the Talon and Spear in one Fight Phase!
One Attack, with Sustained Hits D3, Hits on a 2+, Strength 8, AP-3 and 3 Damage

The same as the shooting attack, only now it comes with Lance. On the turn he makes a Charge move, he add +1 to the Wound roll for the spear!

Abilities

Head Taker
After completing a Charge move, roll a D6 for each model in Haarken's unit. On a 4+ the target enemy unit takes a Mortal Wound.

Herald of the Apocalypse
Enemies within 6" take a Battle Shock test when they are below starting strength instead of below half strength.

Haarken costs 90pts. Add that to the cost of the Raptor he is with and it is a fair chunk of your army. In the right place and time, he can deal a great amount of damage.

With the Head Taker rule, you would want to put a big squad with Haarken, if you can afford the points!

I have never seen this guy in action on the battlefield. Great mini though!
