Surprise party gone wrong.

Immediately she stepped at the entrance, she noticed the door that was locked earlier had been open. She tip-toed to see what was happening inside and there was a loud bang from inside the house.

It sounded like a drum but Eunice didn't wait to see what it was before she took to her heels.

"She is running away," a young boy screamed and Eunice was terrified.

Stop! Come back! Different voices started calling her back but she didn't answer. She ran as fast as she could until she saw somewhere safe to hide.

Souls Trapped in the Queen's Forest

"You were the only person that saw the need to go back after the first warning she sent across by causing a great wind," the goddess adds.

"These items must be purchased to appease the queen of forests to release their souls; otherwise, they will remain in a coma. Death in the physical but alive in the spiritual realm," the goddess lists all the items needed.

The items are bought and taken to the forest. At the front of the thick forest stands the goddess, the parents of the three trapped along with Henry and his parents. After lots of incantations and rituals, the goddess concludes by asking Henry to call the names of his friends three times.

Terrified he begins, "Remy! Remy!! Remy!!!, Mark! Mark!! Mark!!!, Eunice! Eunice!! Eunice!!!."

The box that fell from the sky

The parachute has landed on the long branches of a ceiba tree, and its ropes are hanging down.

The young men were expecting to find a person, but no, it is a silver metal box.

"How strange!, and who would think of dropping a box on a parachute?. Andrea looks at the box with its big black eyes wide open.

"It won't be dangerous to get close, and what if it's a bomb?" Josefina took a step back.

"It could be a toxic gas". Luis had approached the box, which was swinging from one side to the other.

"Don't touch it, Luis". Andrea had followed him and was standing next to him.

Monica was passing the limit and Harry was waiting for her to open the parachute, he never opened it before his students. She was still falling and approaching 1000 meters, she looked at her instructor who with a serious gesture was signaling her to open the parachute. Monica laughed and with her hand on the ring she was about to pull it to calm Harry down.

She counted to ten and pulled the ring, nothing happened. Monica remembered her training and taking a breath, did not panic. She began to fumble with her reserve parachute looking for the second ring, grabbed it tightly and pulled it, nothing happened. Monica desperately called Harry's attention, panic had inoculated the woman's mind.

Olivander's Side Hustles

“Now, what do we do?” Olivander sighed as he glanced at the job vacancy fliers scattered on his glass table. He gave his fedora a somber glance. “Being human is tough, right?”

“Achoo!” his fedora sneezed. Thick dust flew off the table.
“Yeah, right! And you’re stuck that way, and me this way for how long? For the next few days?”

“Sorry, bud. If only I listened to the Boss, we shouldn’t have been wandering this place with mere mortals.”

“I bet he’s happy with what’s happening to us. If only we could lift his curse.”

The mourner

Leonardo grabbed the door with his hand and, when he opened the urn, all he saw of the captive woman were her weathered bones and the skeletal skull that had been there for many years.

The rain that soaked Leonardo's body dripped from his face onto the skull, that seemed to awaken mounds of ants sprouting from its sockets and jaw.

He felt a faint whistle calling him as he raised his head and realized that there was no one there but the crosses and statues that the rain soaked.

He crouched down and tried to remain calm even though inside he was dying of fear, he turned around and started to walk away. Suddenly, he heard laughter echoing inside the tomb.

His hair stood on end and his heart pounded. He ran in the middle of the rainy cemetery, where he slipped and fell several times until he reached the exit.
