The smell of cinnamon, sweet spices, and melted caramel perfumed the kitchen. The pantry was filled with glass jars whose contents painted a rainbow of jovial colors: pinks, greens, yellows, magentas, among them. Large pots bubbled with sticky liquids and strong fragrances on the stove. -@jadams2k18

A Ragya; Sheda!

In our clan, the ruthless king and his evil witch would always determine the future of every child as soon as they turned three. When I turned three, fifteen years ago, I alongside the other three years olds were assembled before the witch at the village square for a lifelong role. I would never forget that long piercing evil stare she gave me. Her eyes turned black and she said, “ On the fifteenth full moon from now, you will be the Ragya for the gods.” -@kei2

Nana and the Night Palace

Although the law requires everyone with a talent for witchcraft to enter the Night Palace; not all that went there can pass the test. Every year, countless promising young girls would fail the test. Nana doesn’t want that since she would have to spend a year being a junior trainee before becoming an official student. -@yuki-nee

Majestically standing beside Iris' bed with his golden trident in his hand was Ramain in all his glory. He wore black pants but was naked from his waist up. His smooth skin gleamed with droplets of water on it. He still looked fit, muscular and so beautiful she almost wept from the rush of love and warmth that filled her heart at his sight. -@kemmyb

As the news of her death spread like harmattan fire, his elder brother who had been away for almost two decades when Jerry became King for fear of being maimed, came back to pay his last respect to Queen Mother. He came with a caravan of four hundred warriors of valor. Before they entered the city, Jossy had consulted with a witch in the hamlet of Orion, a vassal community that pays annual tributes of cattle to Magog. -@mrenglish

The merchant in his mixture of indi and spanish explained to him that it was found in a ransacked temple to Shiva and was unique, that he had the property to make his owner travel mentally to events that had happened or were going to happen to him, for that he only had to place himself in a state of meditation, place it in the palm of his right hand, and closing it tightly. -@joseph1956

Best Friends

That night, I was in my worst mood since the beginning of the year. My beautifully made-up face was squeezed up in anger and disappointment as I walked down the street that led to my home. With my angry strides and an unfriendly demeanor, people knew better than to try and stop me for a chat. No one even greeted me as I cut through the night crowd like Moses through the Red Sea. I preferred it that way. -@bruno-kema
