Anamika

Anamika looked through the window as streaks of lightning lined the dark skies. Heavy thunder followed. Her mother shrieked from behind. She held her hands in a fist and muttered some words. Worry riddled the lines that etched her eyes. Anamika turned to her mother.

“Mother? Why do you keep getting anxious when it rains?”

The Sun and the Two Drops of Water

Over the meadows of the majestic universe, countless planets and stars overflow it with their presence, making that infinite night a party with balloons and celebrations. In the midst of so many guests, one character has his reserved seat, an astro-prince who bows before his King to thank him for the brightness he radiates through his light. It is a small sun that, despite the thousands and thousands of years it carries, seems to keep the passage of time in a tiny container that hangs between his hands.

Before Bren could respond the sound of a stiff breeze whispered around them. The night was still, the air crisp and cool like spring back home on Earth. Bren shone her torch down, to where the noise was, and the dust appeared to be flowing round her feet. She followed it with her torch, watching it move up the water tower and into the tank.

Let It Go

I realized immediately just how much resentment I had been keeping in my heart. Resentment for loosing my job while my friend Dan wasn't fired, resentment for Marylou leaving me when I needed her the most and resentment for what I saw happening at the restaurant. I now knew what the solution to my problem was.

Oblivion

Chris had stayed at the oceanic island for exactly 10 years of his life ever since he reached 20 and was in an exploratory sailing that 8-year-old Chris had kept dreaming of. There he met Lylia the mermaid, whose voice sounded like the orchestral composition of waves and eyes looked more crystal-alike tranquil than his above. An adventurous sailor and a curious little mermaid had their first encounter when Chris’s barque nailed their anchor near a greening land floating on the surface, Lylia and her sisters were amusing themselves with other marine fellows. What could capture the wild and young bachelor's attention at that time stronger than long-term excursions?

Dark, totally encompassing dark night in the woods I am screaming for someone to answer, “is anyone there, is anyone there!” I keep screaming. The trees swaying in the breeze looks like they are closing in on me then it begins to rain, I get wet and it’s freezing, I hear a voice saying it is time to awaken Kate they need you.
