It's #beersaturday and time to explore oceans of the third most drunken liquid on earth! What an ambitious introduction, haha.
Well, no matter what, this beer tasting is one of the more enjoyable moments for me this week when I don’t have to worry about anyone and think about anything.
I have two beers in front of me, one Scottish and one local, Slovenian. Well, let's go!

McEwan's Levy
Brewed by Eagle Brewery, Bedford, England. Bottle, 0.5 l, alcohol 3.2% ABV. Traditional Scottish beer, dark in color and light in taste, they say.
The beer is dark, almost black in color with a medium foam that quickly disappears. In the first sip I feel the bitterness, the taste of something smoked and roasted, I can’t determine what, but the coffee certainly isn’t. The bitterness does not go away, it stays in the mouth for quite some time. Certainly it’s not a porter but something in between.
I'm not too impressed. It’s easy and drinkable, however, I expected more flavor from a traditional Scottish beer. Maybe I was expecting too much?

Reservoir Dogs Kromberger Pils
Brewed by Reservoir Dogs craft brewery, Nova Gorica, Slovenia. Can, 0.44 l, alcohol 5.0% ABV.
A pilsener, brewed in the old school way, they say. Let's taste the old school!
The beer is golden in color, the medium-sized foam disappears quickly. Medium bitterness in the first sip, nutty taste, sweetness of malt in the background, some herbal aromas are also felt. In the aftertaste, everything slowly disappears except the taste of hops, which remains for some time.
Drinkable beer, classic pilsner. If this is an old school as they say themselves I'm very fine. It might even land in my fridge because it can be obtained at local stores.
