On this day, the international workers day and even though I have a free day, I have one very demanding task: To taste 4 beers of Green Gold Brewing microbrewery, from Šempeter, Slovenia. Well, this will take some time, probably even in the afternoon :)
Mars Colony Pale Ale
Marc Colony is unpasterized and unfiltered Pale Ale, medium brown color, taste starts with grapefruit bitterness and continue with some spicy and malt notes. Constant bitterness in the mouth, very drinkable beer. Alcohol vol. 5.0 %.
Povodni mož
Povodni mož (Engl. Underwater Man) is a West Coast IPA, they used Slovenian hops Aurora and American hops Centennial, Citro and Simcoe. Clear golden color, the taste is bitter with tropical fruits, some citrus and spicy hops. Very fresh and juicy beer. Alcohol vol. 5.8 %.
Forbidden Fruit
Forbidden Fruit is a mango wheat ale, unfiltered, cloudy yellow color, a flavor of mango dominates the whole sip. Very slightly bitter, some sweetness in taste, quite smooth and refreshing beer. Alcohol vol. 4.7 %.
Rocket Queen
Rocket Queen IPA, golden color with a solid white head, fresh hop flavor is sweetened with the taste of mango, and peach. I miss the bitterness of IPA but very fresh and solid beer. Alcohol vol. 6.9 %.
Overall, very good craft beers, I'll follow the brewery for sure.
