This is the sequel to my last beer tasting post Belgian 10. Yes, two more beers are on trial. Not in Belgium, but at home:)
I couldn't drink them there, they stayed in my bag. Luckily I had a little travel bag...if I had a bigger one I'd have loaded some six or eight pack, for sure :)
Petrus Blond
Brewed by De Brabandere, commercial brewery, Harelbeke, Belgium. Clear golden color, white head. Strong aroma of a various spices, herbs, lemon and orange, too. Strong taste of malt and, again spices. But refreshing at the aftertaste with all this strong tastes in the mouth. Classical Belgian ale style.
Archivist Blonde
Brewed by the same brewery as previous, De Brabandere, but this one is for Lidl shop. Clear golden color, white head. Aroma of herbs and fruits but not so distincive. Taste of malts, slightly bitter taste of hops but fuzzy. Aftertaste just bitternes and nothing else.
So, if I'd need to choose between these two beers I'd choose Petrus Blond definitely.
Cheers!
