Hello my dear friends of The Anime Realm, in my previous post I talked a little about what I thought of the first season of Devil May Cry. Today I'm here to talk about my experience watching the second season of this fabulous series. It is, and will continue to be, one of my favorites, even though most of the reviews I've read online unnecessarily criticize certain aspects of this season.
Hola mis queridos amigos de The Anime Realm, en mi post anterior le hablΓ© un poco sobre lo que me resultΓ³ la primera temporada de Devil May Cry. Hoy vengo a hablarles ahora de lo que fue la experiencia de ver la segunda temporada de esta fabulosa serie. Claro que es una y seguirΓ‘ siendo una de mis favoritas a pesar de que la mayorΓa de las reseΓ±as que he leΓdo en internet critiquen ciertos aspectos de esta entrega de manera innecesaria.
In other words, there were a few users on other websites who criticized the second season, especially its structure and plot, as if it didn't make sense. The aesthetic and visual aspects of the characters weren't well-received either, because they combined CGI with a more polished character design. But honestly, for me, this is irrelevant. The series' plot starts very well, and I didn't notice any of the details that some film buffs criticize.
Es decir, hubo unos cuantos usuarios de otras pΓ‘ginas web donde criticaban la segunda temporada, sobre todo la estructura y la trama en sΓ de esta segunda parte, como si no tuviera sentido y la parte estΓ©tica y visual de los personajes tampoco gustΓ³ porque combinaron CGI con un diseΓ±o mΓ‘s prolijo de este personaje, pero la verdad es que para mΓ esto no tiene importancia. La trama de la serie empieza con muy buen pie y no notΓ© para nada estos detalles que algunos amantes del cine critican.
If you didn't like this second season and you have your reasons, I respect your opinion, but in this post, I'm going to talk about everything I liked about this second part since I'm a big fan of Dante and his story, and seeing his brother reappear after so many years of being missing, adding some melancholic drama to the story, was fantastic. I also really enjoyed the touch of romance between Lady (Mary) and Dante, taking their relationship to another level, even with its stumbles along the way.
Si a ti no te gustΓ³ esta segunda temporada y tienes tus razones, te respetarΓ© tu opiniΓ³n, pero en este post vengo a hablar de todo lo que me agradΓ³ de esta segunda parte ya que soy muy fan de Dante y su historia y ver a su hermano entrando en escena luego de tantos aΓ±os desaparecido, para agregarle algo de drama melancΓ³lico a la historia, me resultΓ³ demasiado bueno. TambiΓ©n el toque de romance entre Lady (Mary) y Dante, llevando su relaciΓ³n a otro nivel, dando traspiΓ©s en el camino, me gustΓ³ mucho.
The visual effects and character design seemed to be done better, more polished, and with a better finish. Dante's personality continues to be a talking point this season; he definitely had his comedic moments in the series, which added an unexpected extra touch to the story. As always, his Jackpot couldn't be missing, and he always delivers it at the most unexpected moment. Scenes like this will make you laugh out loud, or at least they did for me, and they put me in a great mood.
Los efectos visuales y el diseΓ±o de los personajes me parece que fueron hechos de mejor manera, mΓ‘s prolijos y con mejor acabado. La personalidad de Dante sigue dando de quΓ© hablar en esta temporada, definitivamente tuvo sus momentos de humor en la serie, lo que le dio un toque extra a la historia de manera inesperada. Como siempre, su Jackspot no podΓa faltar y en el momento menos esperado es que lo diga. Este tipo de escenas asΓ, te robarΓ‘ una carcajada o al menos a mΓ me la robΓ³ y me hizo sentir de muy buen humor.
Music continues to be an essential part of certain momentsβthe intense fight scenes, the romantic momentsβeverything is perfectly synchronized with the background music, which this time around included great tracks from the 2000s like Avril Lavigne's "Skater Boy" and Evanescence's "My Immortal." Iconic songs that marked an unforgettable era in the music industry, just as the series did when it first began.
La mΓΊsica sigue formando parte esencial de ciertos momentos, las escenas fuertes de peleas, los momentos romΓ‘nticos, todo estΓ‘ ajustado como deberΓa ser a la mΓΊsica que suena de fondo que en esta ocasiΓ³n no dudaron en volver a agregar buena mΓΊsica de los aΓ±os 2000 como Skater Boy de Avril Lavigne o My Immortal de Evanescence. Temas icΓ³nicos que marcaron una Γ©poca inolvidable en la industria musical como lo hizo la serie en su momento cuando iniciΓ³ toda la historia.
What I enjoyed most about the entire series, besides the details I mentioned, were the fight scenes between these twin brothers. Vergil plays a significant role throughout the story, and seeing him with a certain resemblance to his brother in personality makes him steal every scene with his stoicism and lethality. These brothers definitely have style, not only when it comes to killing demons or people, but also when it comes to fighting each other. I really enjoyed learning more about their past and what truly happened between them when they were just children. These brothers are two sides of the same coin, and both have been manipulated by greater forces, but I'm sure that together they can restore balance between their two worlds.
Lo que mΓ‘s me gustΓ³ de toda la serie en sΓ, ademΓ‘s de los detalles que les mencionΓ©, fueron las escenas de peleas entre estos dos hermanos gemelos. AdemΓ‘s, Vergil juega un papel importante en toda la historia y verlo con cierta semejanza en personalidad a su hermano se roba cada escena con su estoicismo y letalidad. Definitivamente estos hermanos tienen estilo no sΓ³lo para matar demonios o personas sino para pelear entre ellos. Me agradΓ³ mucho conocer un poco mΓ‘s del pasado de ambos y saber lo que sucediΓ³ realmente entre ellos cuando eran apenas unos niΓ±os. Estos hermanos son caras opuestas de la misma moneda y ambos han sido utilizados por fuerzas mayores, pero estoy seguro de que entre los dos podrΓ‘n establecer el equilibrio entre ambos mundos.
