This series is another gem from the renowned streaming company Netflix. It tells the story of a female samurai named Mizu. Yes, just as you read. This small, but important detail is what made me want to watch this story in its entirety, since from the beginning I thought the protagonist was a man, and I was very surprised to see that she was actually a talented woman capable of wielding a sword and calling herself a samurai. So, how many stories do you know that tell the story of a female swordsman? From the first episode, and like any good story, it captivates its viewers not only with its plot but also with the fight scenes developed to the fullest, full of elegance and uncensored reality.
Esta serie es otra joya de la reconocida empresa de Streaming llamada Netflix. La cual cuenta la historia de una Mujer Samurai llamada Mizu. Si, as铆 como leen. Este peque帽o gran detalle es el que me hizo querer ver por completo esta historia ya que desde un inicio pens茅 que el protagonista era un hombre y me llev茅 una gran sorpresa al ver que en realidad era una talentosa mujer capaz de portar una espada y hacerse llamar Samurai. As铆 que 驴cu谩ntas historias conoces donde se relate una trama sobre un espadach铆n que fuese mujer? Desde el primer episodio, y como toda buena historia se caracteriza, atrapa a su espectador no s贸lo por su trama sino por las escenas de pelea desarrolladas a todo dar, cargadas de elegancia y realidad sin censura.

Despite the harsh blows life dealt her at such a young age, this girl grew up filled with a strength whose lifeblood was seeking revenge and justice, seeking out the man who fathered her and then abandoned her. Because of her vivid sky-blue eyes, this girl was forced to hide her identity and began dressing and acting like a man, concealing her gaze with dark glasses. This gaze has often led to her being called the Demon. This girl is only looking to settle scores with a man she doesn't know, but who she knows is in Japan and holds a certain level of power within the country. Each of these men (four suspects in total) turns out to be her father, and as her story progresses, each character reveals their past, adding even more spectacular plot to the series.
A pesar de los duros golpes de la vida que recibi贸 a tan corta edad, esta chica creci贸 llena de una fortaleza cuya fuente de vida era ejercer venganza y justicia, buscando al hombre que la enjendr贸 y a abandon贸. Por tener unos vivos ojos de color azul cielo, esta chica se vio forzada a ocultar su identidad y empez贸 a vestirse y actuar como un hombre, ocultando su mirada con unos lentes oscuros. Mirada por la cual ha sido llamada en muchas ocasiones como Demonio. Esta chica s贸lo busca ajustar cuentas con un hombre al que no conoce pero que sabe que est谩 en Jap贸n y tiene cierto rango de poder dentro del pa铆s. Cada uno de estos hombres (4 sospechosos en total), resultar谩 ser su padre y mientras avanza su historia, cada personaje muestra su pasado, cargando de m谩s trama espectacular la serie.
In addition to a well-developed, detailed, and fortified story, the series is crafted with artistic touches unmatched by any other. Here, they blend 2D and 3D textures, adding action scenes, fights, and combat, so artistically rendered that they are a delight to behold. Furthermore, Mizu possesses unmatched strength, despite being a woman, and although her body is tiny compared to her opponents, this is no obstacle for her to win a battle. Every fight she undertakes is to obtain justice and get a little closer to whoever has knowledge of her father's whereabouts. So, rather than fighting with pure brute force, what matters most here is fighting with your heart and displaying a peculiar agility to take advantage of your weaknesses.
Adem谩s de contar con una historia fortalecida, bien desarrollada y detallada, la serie est谩 hecha con toques art铆sticos que no se le puede igualar a ninguna otra. Aqu铆 mezclan texturas en 2D y 3D, sumando escenas de acci贸n, peleas y combates, hechas tan art铆sticamente que son un deleite a la mirada. Adem谩s, Mizu cuenta con una fortaleza inigualable, a pesar de ser mujer y aunque tiene un cuerpo diminuto en comparaci贸n con sus oponentes, este no es obst谩culo para ella para ganar una batalla. Cada pelea que combate lo hace para obtener justicia y acercarse un poco m谩s a quien tenga conocimientos sobre el paradero de su padre. As铆 que m谩s que luchar contra pura fuerza bruta, aqu铆 lo que m谩s tiene peso es pelear con el coraz贸n y mostrar una peculiar agilidad para sacarle provecho a tus debilidades.
You could say the series is gory, and it also touches on sexual themes, so it's not recommended for children, only adults. On the other hand, the series covers themes of equality, identity, harsh discrimination, honor, and the search for belonging where you can be accepted for who you are and not for what people think you are. Another thing I liked is that the series doesn't unfold linearly, but rather is made up of a series of flashbacks that allow us to learn about Mizu's past and that of her other companions along the way. We also learn about the origins of her revenge and her thirst for justice, which demonstrate that Mizu is more than a samurai; she's an emotionally complex woman. This series is definitely worth watching more than once.
Se podr铆a decir que la serie es Gore, y toca temas sexuales tambi茅n, por lo que no es recomendable que la vean los ni帽os, s贸lo los adultos. Por otro lado, la serie abarca los temas de igualdad, identidad, la cruda discriminaci贸n, honor y la b煤squeda de pertenecer a un lugar donde se pueda ser aceptado por quien es y no por lo que la gente cree que eres. Otra cosa que me gust贸 es que la serie no se desarrolla linealmente, sino que est谩 conformada por una serie de flashback que te permiten conocer el pasado de Mizu y sus dem谩s compa帽eros de camino. As铆 como tambi茅n el origen de su venganza y las ansias de justicia que demuestran que Mizu es m谩s que un Samurai, es una mujer emocionalmente compleja. Esta serie sin duda vale la pena verla m谩s de una vez.
