Chikpeas With Spicy Sauce

Chikpeas are a type of vegetable which is a type of legume which has taste with its own characteristics. The texture is quite hard and the taste is bland, so if it is prepared in spiced dishes it will be very delicious. Like the processed chickpea vegetable dish that I will prepare later in my kitchen.

The plan is that I will process the chikpeas into a dish that is simple but has the characteristics of my country's original taste, namely Roasted Beans with Spicy Chili Sauce. This dish is made in a very easy way. I just marinate the chickpeas with salt and chili powder, then roast the chickpeas by adding a little butter.

Uniquely, to strengthen the taste of typical Indonesian food, namely spicy, I made authentic hot chili sauce from jumbo bird's eye chilies, as well as several other ingredients such as shallots and tomatoes. So, all the ingredients for this chili sauce are simply fried in hot oil and then pounded roughly with a pestle. Then I added lime juice, salt and mushroom stock.

So, instead of you being curious, I will show you the complete procedure for making it!

Once the beans are cooked, arrange them on a serving plate then drizzle with the spicy chili sauce. Don't forget to serve it with warm white rice in my flower rice forming container. Add it on top of rice with fried onions then I enjoy it. Of course, after I took the photo, I enjoyed it slowly with the savory taste of the buncos and the spicy sensation of the sauce.

It is the perfect taste in combination with white rice. Very delicious, anyone who loves spicy food will be happy to like it. However, if you don't like spicy, you can substitute chilies that are not too spicy like the ones I use.
