Hello, runners! After a rainy night, the day dawned refreshed and full of life thanks to the rain; everything looks fresh and the colors are really vibrant. Today I went out early to train with my husband; we went to the park first to log a few more miles while they were opening the stadium. Despite the rain last night, there were quite a few people walking and jogging in the park—mostly older adults. You can tell how much they enjoy their physical training and the benefits it brings them. We arrived at the stadium at 5:50 a.m., and thankfully, it was already open. Today, the stadium was empty; no one was training at that hour. I imagine the rain kept people from coming out. Today’s plan was a light jog; this will be my plan for the whole week since I haven’t been feeling well due to hip discomfort, so I can only train in Zone 2 no matter what. Well, everything happens for a reason—because staying in this zone is still a challenge for us, but pain and an injury force us to stay in this zone.
Today's workout lasted 46 minutes, with a somewhat high average pace, but it ensured that I stayed in Zone 2 for almost 100% of the workout. I loved how the stadium looked today; the grass needed some water to turn green again and come back to life. Today I felt a little better regarding the discomfort; it always hurts more at the beginning, but once I warm up a bit, the pain goes away. I’m still taking painkillers and anti-inflammatories, and reducing the number of miles and training sessions during the week. I’ve overcome several issues, and with God’s help, I hope to get past this discomfort by treating it in time. See you soon, dear runners.
