This morning I went out for a 7-km run—the kind I love because it lets me connect with myself and enjoy the scenery. My main goal was to stay in Zone 2, that comfortable intensity where your body is working but not getting exhausted, which is perfect for building endurance and conserving energy.
The route I chose is called “El Saman,” and it’s quite varied. It has several hills that test my legs and remind me that it’s not just about running in a straight line, but about adapting my pace to the terrain. Every climb is followed by a descent that lets me recover and prepare for the next effort. I love that feeling of my body adapting and responding, step by step.
Having met my training goal, I decided to stick around for a while to support some teammates who were competing in a triathlon today. Seeing them give it their all after months of preparation is truly inspiring. The effort, dedication, and camaraderie experienced in these events remind me why I love this sport. It’s not just about running or swimming or cycling; it’s about being part of a community that pushes each other forward.
This morning was a good reminder that running is much more than just training; it’s about sharing moments, learning from others, and celebrating every small achievement. Now it’s time to keep working, but always enjoying the journey.
