Good morning, fellow runners! Today was the long run of the week, and the challenge we chose was a route known as **“El Lazo”**. I had the pleasure of sharing this experience with my wife and a group of runners—something that always makes the kilometers so much more enjoyable.

The outbound leg is quite demanding, as it features a series of gradual climbs that really put your legs and endurance to the test. When we arrived at the starting point, we did a quick warm-up to get our bodies ready. As is our custom, we couldn’t skip the group photo before setting off.

Once we were all ready, we set off on the route. During the first few kilometers, I felt great; the weather was very pleasant, which really helped me enjoy the workout. As we ran, we talked about the paces we’ve planned for the CAF Marathon, sharing ideas, expectations, and motivation as we look toward that big goal.

Little by little, the hills started to take their toll, but the group’s positive energy made everything more bearable. Each climb was a challenge, but also an opportunity to continue strengthening our minds and bodies.

Without a doubt, it was a special training session: kilometers of effort, conversations, camaraderie, and a lot of excitement for what’s to come. We’ll keep working consistently and enjoying the process—which is what matters most—because every training session brings us a little closer to the finish line🌞🏃🔥💪.
