1945 Mexico Dos Peso Gold Coin

I got this Dos Pesos gold coin from JM Bullion. This Mexican Gold Coin, which has a face value of 2 Pesos and is legal tender, is the lowest denomination in the exclusive coin series produced by the Banco De Mexico.

Early in the 20th century, the Mexico City Mint created the Dos Peso Mexican Gold Coin, which is made up of.0482 troy ounces of pure gold. 90% pure gold is contained in each coin.

This amazing depiction shows a golden Eagle keeping its position atop a prickly pear cactus while it subdues a serpent with its strong beak and talons. It portrays Mexico's national Bird, down to the texture of its feathers and the width of its wingspan. "Estados Unidos Mexicanos" proudly serves as an arching heading above the image. It is the coat of arms of Mexico.

The open harvest wreath on the coin's reverse symbolizes Mexico's burgeoning agricultural sector. The coin's denomination, "Dos Pesos," is in the wreath's center and in the language of origin, Spanish. The coin's year of issuance, 1945, is also engraved.

Its diameter is 12.85 millimeters and it was minted for 29 years, from 1919 to 1948. The Dos Peso Mexican Gold Coin, despite its small size, has an amazing composition because it was made from.0482 troy oz of 90% pure gold.
