Beer Tasting Tatra Jasne Pełne and Radegast Ratar

Hello beer lovers! 🍻 😎 🍻

Is there anything special going on apart from the coming of spring? Hive is sailing on rough seas in the crypto world, I'm following the various debates about HBD and algorithmic stablecoins, but in reality, I'm thinking about what should I plant in my field. Something new, definitely.

Then again, the community's only constant, #beersaturday, is back in play for the 303rd time in a row.

And don't be scared of all those bottles. We had a family birthday and here are some of the presents that arrived.
The two cans at the front, one Polish, and one Czech are on the line today. Acquired on the road. :)

🍻 😎 🍻

Tatra Jasne Pełne

Brewed by Tatra, Żywiec, Silesian, Poland.
can, o.5 l, alcohol 5.6% ABV. It's lager style, usually gold colored without strong flavors, not too hoppy, maltier.

What does the Master Brewers say?

A classic lager brewed on the basis of an original recipe and high-quality ingredients. A deep, beer-like flavor with a distinct hop aroma. It is a beer born of the need for freedom - suitable for shared moments of respite after a challenging day.

I couldn't help but chuckle at the "beer-like flavor". What else could it be?

The beer is clear golden in color, and the head is average and disappears quickly. I smell malt. The sip goes down the throat smoothly, I don't feel any particular bitterness, very discreet, more of malt sweetness, I'm waiting for some other flavors to develop but they don't.
There is nothing in the aftertaste either.

It's drinkable, but nothing special. I quite agree with what they wrote about it being a beer-like flavor, but that's about it. Boring and uninspired. Industrial lager. I'll forget it quickly.

I drank it, of course, but what should I do? I've been mowing the grass all afternoon and #beertasting is like a kind of reward for my effort.

Well, maybe the next one will be better.

🍻 😎 🍻

Radegast Ratar

Brewed by Radegast (Asahi), Nošovice, Moravia-Silesia, Czech Republic.
Can, 0,5 l, alcohol 4.3%, 50 IBU. It's The Bohemian Pilsener style, also called Czech Pilsener. Rich and golden Czech lager with hop character and bready malt.

What does the Master Brewers say?

The full flavor and exceptional bitterness, thanks to premium Polaris hops, make refreshing this special draft beer an exceptional manly experience! Ratar is the most bitter Radegast ever brewed. Its name was inspired by the Ratar tribe, whose supreme god was Radegast.
Life is bitter. Sadly.

Wow, 50 IBUs (International Bitterness Units) for one lager is not just that. I can't wait to taste it.

The beer is clear golden in color, and the head is average and disappears quickly. The aroma is hoppy. A sip goes down the throat smoothly and immediately there is a remarkable hop bitterness with fresh grass and herbal aroma.
The bitterness lingers in the aftertaste for a long time.

A drinkable and refreshing beer with a pronounced hop character tempered by herbs. Very different from an IPA where bitterness is combined with fruity aromas.
A very good beer for me, I regret that I did not get more of these cans, because I bought them in the Czech Republic, Mikulov, in a Billa store, near the border with Austria, when I was returning home from Bydgoszcz, Poland.
Well, I remembered it for another time.

🍻 😎 🍻

And what am I listening to as I write this and taste the beer? Today, something danceable, from my last #newtunes post.
