Everyone does with their money what they want or what they can, even each of us knows what he is going to do with what falls into the wallet.

Sometimes one spends so many years measuring one's value by everything one does, produces, solves and sustains, that when a stage arrives in which one no longer has to run so much, an uncomfortable question appears: who am I when I no longer have to prove that I am useful?

That's when a part of life that we talk about very little begins... the time has come for retirement.

Today I want to tell you that: Not every purpose has to become trabajo. No every day has to end with a crossed out to-do list to have been worthwhile. There is also purpose in learning something for the sake of it, in getting closer to someone again, in tending a garden, in traveling, in teaching what one knows, in starting a project without any intention of monetizing it, in discovering a version of oneself that I had never had time to know.

Retirement can feel like a loss, of course it does. But it can also be one of those very rare opportunities in which life gives you back something that was managed by schedules, obligations and others for decades... Our time, for a salary.

The question is no longer just what are you going to do with your days, the question is much more beautiful: What kind of life do I want to build now that I finally have more space to choose it?.. now that I am adapting to this new moment of life... The big changes, especially when retirement comes.

We all need space or autonomy, when the bond gets closer, he watches over you, judges you and you feel cornered, drowned out... Maybe the other can listen to your needs and not just listen and validate their own? does only one of the parties give in or do both parties give in?are the two of you getting engaged? are the two of you able to respect and fulfill the agreements? never make hasty decisions, the consequences are disastrous and we have to open mental space to think, to deconstruct, to analyze.

I listen to my biological clock and my body every day, and I do what he asks of me. I am happy to enjoy my time as I want and not as I was forced to all my life. I feel free now. It's a stage in my life where I feel very productive.

From my experience, retiring is a process that allows me to make my time my favorite space, to occupy it in what I always lack time to do and the time comes for me to travel, exercise, dance, gastronomy, write and do a thousand things with the time I have now, and that doesn't mean that my life is over, now I do what I had left for later.
