Hey everyone, been seeing commercials for this for the last few weeks so thought I'd check it out. This is a horror comedy about society's obsession with beauty and youth. Directed by Coralie Fargeat and is from 2024.😃
The story in the film follows Elisabeth Sparkle, played by Demi Moore, who loses her job because she has become too old. So she chooses to try a secret product called "The Substance" to fight the battle against aging. In this way, she can experience a younger version of herself played by Margaret Qualley, but this has its price and unexpected side effects. Both deliver great performances and I was well carried away in the film. Didn't seem like a horror film at first, but this takes off at the end, it gets grotesque, I can promise. Good entertainment and I laugh at the humor along the way. A must-see for fans of the genre, I give this a 8. I think you might like it @netflixr.😃
