Hey everyone, just watched the new movie Atlas on Netflix. Have you seen it yet?😃
It is an action-packed sci-fi film with AI and robot battles starring Jennifer Lopez, she plays a skilled AI analyst who is recruited for a dangerous mission. We follow her on a journey from Earth to another galaxy to capture a humanoid robot named Harlan played by Simu Liu. Harlan becomes history's first AI terrorist and wants to wipe out all humans. The action itself is perhaps not the film's strongest point, and can at times seem weak, for example Atlas' dialogue with the robot she uses was too bad and boring for me. Otherwise, Atlas is impressive with good special effects, so for the action part it is good. And the acting performances are solid, especially from Jennifer Lopez and Sterlink K. Brown who play the charismatic Colonel Elias Banks. The dialogue is sometimes clichéd, like a classic American action movie, so if you're interested in action-packed sci-fi with robots, Atlas might be worth checking out. For my part, this was a 7.
