Will we get humanoid robots in our homes in the future? Came across the film by chance, something new from 2024 directed by S.K. Dale, a sci fi thriller about the dangers of artificial intelligence.š
We follow a father played by Michele Morrone who acquires a "housekeeper", an advanced humanoid robot Alice played by Megan Fox, to help in the home after his wife falls ill. The humanoid robot Alice develops self-awareness, which leads to dangerous consequences. I liked the idea and generally good script. Megan Fox gives a good performance as the manipulative and dangerous robot. In general, an ok film in terms of the plot is predictable, and the film does not quite manage to maintain the tension throughout. But liked the idea so it gets a 6 from me, worth a look if you like AI and sci fi.
