Project - Distriator
Trusted Business Guides Filter
- @starkerz suggested that, there should be a way with which, we should be able to view the businesses managed by guides.
- Based on this request, we implemented this filter on business-filter screen.
- This filter will be available to super-admins & admins
- With this, admins can easily filter out businesses managed by a specific guide
- Following screenshot gives you the idea how to filter businesses by guide @buttcoins
- These changes are tested well locally.
- We also deployed it first to the beta environment.
- Upon finding everything good & bugs free, we shipped it to production.
- Super-Admins & Admins can try out this feature now.
Backend - API to Add a business
JOI based object validation
- We are using JOI for data validation
- A business object may contain several attributes e.g. latitude, longitude, address line one, line two, city, state, country, display name, hiveusername, and so on.
- With Joi in place, we can validate the data sent by the client.

Validating JSON at API level
- So far, we have added code for json-validation using JOI
- We are yet to map it to mongoose schema & add it to database
- Once above task is complete, Add a business API will be ready.
What's next?
- Complete Add-A-Business API
- Migrate existing excel-sheet-based-businesses to database using add-a-business-api
- Once migration is done, we'll integrate update-a-business-API
- Add support for setting percentage for each-trusted-business-guide on a business

- I support several contests hosted by different communities.
- I reward them with Hive-Power-up for the contribution that they have made on communities on Hive.
- We keep transferring portion of hive power to different users on Hive for encouraging them for their contribution on Hive.
- Those who respond to our replies, we also reward them with different tokens like PIZZA, BEER, LUV
- Today we sent power ups to these people on hive - @hindavi, @jishan5, @pardinus, @ellenripley, @miprimerconcurso

Updates: Video Encoder Nodes
- I'm running 12 powerful video encoder nodes for 3Speak Community Members.
- Monthly internet bandwidth usage which exceeds 15 TB, Maintenance cost, Electricity backup, Internet backup, Depreciation cost - it's all on me.
- On 2024-06-24, 3Speak published total 98 videos.
- My video encoder nodes encoded 78 videos from 98 videos published.
- It means, my encoder nodes encoded 79.59 % of total videos published on 2024-06-24
