I decided to do a bit of baking with my granddaughter Saturday morning. Mainly to keep her busy while michelle.gent@michelle.gent wrote her Steemit posts.

First we cleaned the kitchen, and got the ingredients ready.
We also cleaned the child :).

You need.
12oz / 340 grams Self Raising Flour
8oz / 225 grams Caster Sugar or Brown Sugar
6oz / 170 grams Butter or Margarine
2 Large Eggs
2oz / 60 grams Chocolate Chips (White, Dark or Milk)

Weigh the flour and sugar and put in a bowl. A large tablespoon is 1oz / 28 grams.

Mix the flour and sugar and add the butter and eggs. Use clingfilm or grease-proof paper to keep the scales clean.

Mix everything up.

Add the Choc Chips.

Put the oven on at 180ºC / 350ºF.
Cover a baking tray in foil. I used two baking tin bottoms.

Space out the mix. If you want round cookies then you need a lot of space between. The shape was not important for us. Getting them all in the oven at the same time was.

Put them in the oven for 15 minutes. Check them after 10 minutes and when they are golden brown they are ready. If you like a harder biscuit then increase the temperature a little.

This is how they come out. Just slide a knife under them and break apart.

Enjoy.
