Hi everyone,
This is my first post in this community. Yesterday I baked some cookies on my daughter's request. They turned out really amazing. My children loves eating cookies as an evening snack with milk.
The recipe is shared below:
#Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar( brown and white half half)

  • I was short of brown sugar so I used white sugar altogether, the cookies still turned out great.
    1 egg
    1 tsp vanilla essence
    1 1/4 cups flour
    1/4 tsp baking powder
    1/2 cup chocolate chips

#Directions
First we will combine sugar and butter and mix it well. If you don't have an electric beater you can use a hand whisk as well. The mixture should turn creamy in texture. Next you will add an egg and mix it well again. Then add the vanilla essence and mix.
Now sift the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl and add it to the egg, sugar and butter mixture. Do not use a beater here but fold it very well using a spatula. Next step is to add the chocolate chips which is the most yummiest part of this recipe. Cookies without chocolate chips... Naah!

When the chocolate chips are added and mixed, the cookie batter is ready. You can keep in the refrigerator for half an hour for the batter to firm a bit. But if your kids cannot wait you can scoop them directly onto the baking tray lined with a parchment paper.

Do keep a distance of around 2 inches between every cookie scoop. Now bake these cookies at 180 degree Celsius for 15-20 minutes.

The cookies would be soft when baked. When they cool they become crisp from outside and soft from inside. Do not over bake, they become hard.

Taraaa! The cookies are ready!

Do try these cookies and do reply how they turned out. I sometimes also add some cocoa powder with the flour to make double chocolate cookies. If you do not have chocolate chips, you can also add chocolate chunks cut into small pieces. They also taste great. I was also short of parchment paper so I greased my pan with oil and sprinkled some flour on top. It worked well but parchment paper is way to better.
This is all for today, I'll be sharing more recipes with you all soon and also trying out the recipes you all share. I enjoy being a part of this community where food is cherished and loved.See you soon.
