Today we are back, for a new edition of this weekly vegan challenge YOUR VEGGIE SHOPPING, an activity that we have created, to learn more about the shopping experience that all of you, dear users, have when supplying food your pantry, either in the markets, in the different commercial establishments or directly in the field, with the producers.
In the previous edition, dedicated to the purchase of CITRUS FRUITS, we had a total of 6 entries, both very interesting and wonderful. Here we present them:
We have decided that on this occasion, each participant receives prizes of: 50 @ecency points, 50 foodie tokens and additionally, each entry receive 1 additional hive as a gift.
For this week @dlizara took us shopping at a supermarket near her house, where she bought pineapples, lemons, oranges and passion fruits. We were surprised at how expensive citrus was, but she made a wise purchase to get the most out of these foods. She also offered us very good tips to make a good purchase of these fruits.
Although in this purchase @mayraro05 bought other fruits, she also bought citrus fruits, specifically oranges and lemons; and she did this in a very assorted market where she usually does her shopping, called MERCASA. She also offered us interesting shopping and storage tips for these fruits.
In this interesting post, @maytom tells us that they are currently celebrating Ramadan, but she also tells us about the changeable climate in the area where she lives, so it is necessary that they are well fed, especially that they consume lots of fruits rich in vitamine C, to avoid getting sick; so she takes us for a walk to buy oranges in a supermarket and also shows us a beautiful lemon tree where she harvests fresh lemons.
In this comprehensive post, @hindavi, who is currently on a trip to his native India, tells us about the availability of citrus in Norway and India. From India, she tells us that there is a variety of tropical fruits, and although the offer of citrus fruits is a little less, it is possible to buy local varieties that are for sale in a Sunday market, where she and her husband go. to buy fruits and vegetables for the rest of the week.
In this beautiful post, @anggreklestari tells us about how much she enjoys shopping for fruits and vegetables, especially citrus fruits, fruits that she likes a lot. On this occasion, she takes us shopping at a very large supermarket, called Berastagi, where there is an excellent offer of national and imported fruits. There, after a careful selection, she bought 3 types of oranges.
From Colombia, where @parauri currently lives, she takes us shopping at a well-stocked greengrocer. There she reviews various citrus fruits, such as oranges, lemons, tangerines, passion fruit, among others. She chooses to buy some oranges that are very good, some passion fruit and an Amazonian fruit called lulo, which is very common in that country. She also tells us about all the benefits that these foods provide for human health.
Below are the transfers of the prizes to the winners
We give our most sincere thanks to @sagarkothari88, who has kindly sponsored part of the prizes for this vegan challenge. Here is the gift that he has offered to each participant
NOW LET'S GO WITH THE NEW “YOUR VEGGIE SHOPPING”
Life without flavor would be something sad and boring, that's why food is so important, because it offers us thousands of flavors, smells, textures and colors; and within the group of flavors, there is sweet, which brings us joy and sometimes also calms. And although eating sweets in excess can be harmful to health, especially if that sweet is of industrial or refined origin, there are also other more natural options, which are widely accepted in veganism, because they provide us with vitamins, minerals and microelements, and that also allow us to enrich our recipes. AND SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT, HONEY IS NOT ACCEPTED IN VEGANISM. So for this new challenge, corresponding to week 13, we want to go shopping with you, but ONLY TO BUY SWEETENERS. In this post you will not include any other type of food, only SWEETENERS, and we also want you to give us advice on buying this food.
