It is a delightful homemade treat for anyone who loves crispy, spicy, and flavourful food. So, my dear friends, let’s see how to prepare these delicious and crispy Dal Vada at home! 😋🍽️
Materials Used.
1½ cups of chana dal (split chickpeas), soaked for a few hours
A little salt, to taste
Coconut oil, as needed for deep-frying
2 teaspoons of chilli flakes
A little chopped onion
A few chopped curry leaves
2 chopped green chillies
The cooking process as follows.
Now, let’s get ready to prepare the Dal Vada. First, take the chana dal that has been soaked for a few hours and pound it finely using a traditional mortar and pestle.
Next, add the chopped onion, curry leaves, green chillies, chilli flakes, and salt to the finely pounded chana dal. Mix everything well until all the ingredients are evenly combined. Then, take small portions of the mixture and shape them into small, elongated balls.
Now, place a pan on the stove and add enough coconut oil for deep-frying. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the prepared Dal Vada and fry them until they turn golden brown and crispy. Then, remove them from the oil and allow the excess oil to drain.
Our delicious dal vada is now ready to enjoy! These golden, crispy vadas have a crunchy exterior and a flavorful center filled with the goodness of lentils and spices. Serve them hot with your favorite chutney or chili sauce alongside a warm cup of tea. Enjoy this tasty homemade snack with your family and loved ones.
