There are some vegan meals that are just staple to the plant-based diet. One of those, of course, is chia pudding ๐Ÿ˜

I haven't tried many common vegan meals yet and to be honest, I tried chia pudding just a couple of months ago although I am plant-based for 3 years ๐Ÿ˜‚

There is just so many options for vegan food that we don't always have the time to try it all! ๐Ÿ˜€
But this chia pudding is a very quick and simple way to have a healthy and nutritious (also tasty, of course) snack/meal. Chia pudding, just like smoothies, can be made in a million different ways ๐Ÿ˜

So I am sharing one of those ways which is very basic. If you don't have fresh bilberries, just use any other fresh fruit that you have (strawberries, raspberries, banana...)! And as usual, add any additional ingredients that you would like to include ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ

You will need:
For about 1 portion

  • Half of well-ripened banana
  • 200 ml. plant-based milk (I used almond)
  • 40 g. chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup (or other sweetener)

Preparation:

  1. Mash half of the banana with a fork until almost smooth.

Mix it with milk, chia seeds and maple syrup until smooth.
  2. Pour the entire mixture into a glass or 2 small jars and keep in the fridge for at least 3 hours or overnight.
  3. Before eating (after you keep it in the fridge), you can put on your favorite berries and other ingredients - bilberries are used in the recipe.

And enjoy your chia pudding!
