Ingredients: Fried Chicken:
250 grams chicken thigh fillet
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 egg
2 tbsp cornstarch
all-purpose flour
cooking oil
Gochujang sauce:
2 tbsp gochujang sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
a pinch of sugar
a pinch of salt
pepper
cornstarch slurry
diced onion
50 ml water
toasted sesame seeds
Steps: Fried Chicken:
Clean the chicken and cut into small pieces
Place in a bowl and add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and maizena
Crack the eggs and add to the bowl
Stir until well combined and marinate the chicken for 1 hour
After 1 hour, prepare the all-purpose seasoning flour
Coat the chicken with the all-purpose seasoning flour
Place the floured chicken into preheated oil and cook over medium heat
Once cooked through and golden brown, remove and drain
Gochujang sauce:
Add the gochujang sauce to a bowl
Add the sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper
Add the cornstarch mixture and stir until well combined
Heat a pan and sauté the diced onions until fragrant
Add the prepared gochujang sauce
Add water and stir until thickened
Add sesame seeds and stir the sauce
Add the fried chicken and stir until well coated with the sauce
