Hello fellow runners, today I want to share with you an experience I had this morning. I woke up feeling a little exhausted from the previous day’s work, with my muscles still sore and my mind feeling heavy. However, I decided to go for a jog, because I know that movement is often exactly what my body and mind need to recharge.

I set out to run 8 kilometers between the city and the coastline. Before starting, I did a dynamic warm-up to properly prepare my muscles and prevent injuries, especially since the trail was a bit damp from the previous night’s rain. The morning was super cool, with that clean, revitalizing air you only feel near the ocean.

I ran in Zone 2, maintaining a comfortable, steady pace that let me enjoy every step without pushing myself too hard. As I ran, I could feel the sea spray coming in with the waves, lightly wetting the trail and leaving a refreshing sensation on my skin. The view was simply amazing: the clear sky, the calm sea, and that soft light typical of the early morning hours that invites calm and reflection.

When I got home, I didn’t want to stop there. I took the opportunity to do some strength training—the kind that complements running so well and helps prevent injuries. It was the perfect way to end a run that started with fatigue but ended up being a moment of well-being and connection with myself.

I hope you, too, can find those moments when, despite exhaustion, your body reminds you how valuable it is to move and breathe deeply.
