Hello fellow runners, I hadn’t been able to go for a run for two Sundays, mainly because weekends tend to be busy for me. But today I finally managed it, and I felt good. My plan was to run for an hour and thirty minutes on the track, but in the end I ran for an hour and twenty-three minutes. Not bad at all, considering the main goal was just to get my body moving again.
I started with some dynamic movements to warm up, stretch a bit, and get my muscles ready. Then, together with my wife, we went to run the Muco route, a place we love for its tranquility and scenery. The morning was cool, perfect for a gentle pace that would let me recover and enjoy myself.
When I was about 4.2 kilometers in, it started to drizzle, accompanied by a light breeze that cooled the air even more. Instead of being a nuisance, that light rain made the moment even more special, accompanying us and blessing our outing.
On the way back, I came across two mangoes that looked so tempting I didn’t hesitate to pick them up. Little details like that make these moments unique and full of life. Running is also about that: connecting with your surroundings, enjoying the small pleasures, and sharing the experience with those you love.
I finished feeling happy and motivated to keep improving, knowing that every workout counts. I hope that all of you can also find those moments to get out and feel the freedom that running gives us.
