Cycling... My 1,105 KM Milestone, Amazing Savings, and Rewards Along the Way!
If you've been following my blogs for quite some time now, you'll probably know how much I enjoy cycling around Singapore. It's one of my favorite activities because it allows me to explore different places in the city while also getting a good amount of exercise. And the best part? I don't necessarily have to spend a lot of money to enjoy it!
I'm also an avid supporter of bicycle rental services. Here in Singapore, we have two popular bike-sharing companies, and the one I've been using consistently is Anywheel, commonly known as the green bikes.
Although I have my own bicycle, I still enjoy renting one because of the convenience it offers. I don't have to worry about maintenance, storage, or bringing my bicycle everywhere. I can simply rent a bike whenever I need one and return it to any designated parking area, which is something we have plenty of around the city.
And today, I want to share some of the amazing benefits I've been getting from using this service!
One of the things I appreciate about Anywheel is its Bike Pass, which allows users to enjoy bicycle rentals at a much more affordable price.
They offer packages for 7 days, 30 days, and even 90 days. Personally, I prefer the 30-day package because it costs only SGD 9.90, which is equivalent to approximately SGD 0.33 per day.
That's a pretty good deal, right?
Of course, the best way to maximize this subscription is to actually use the bicycle as frequently as possible. That's exactly what I've been trying to do, and I'm happy to say that I've been quite consistent with my cycling adventures!
Now, let me share some of my cycling statistics because these numbers are something I'm genuinely excited about.
According to my Anywheel account, I've already traveled a total of 1,105.28 kilometers!
That's more than a thousand kilometers of exploring different neighborhoods, enjoying beautiful city views, discovering interesting places, and occasionally getting lost along the way. LOL!
What's even more satisfying is knowing that I've burned approximately 26,527 calories throughout these adventures.
According to the app, that's equivalent to around 49 McSpicy burgers! I guess that means I can reward myself with almost 50 burgers now. Hahaha!
Another interesting statistic is the environmental benefit. The app estimates that my cycling trips have saved approximately 110.53 kilograms of carbon emissions, which it compares to planting 5.1 trees.
It feels great knowing that something I genuinely enjoy doing can also contribute positively to the environment.
And here's another thing that makes me excited about Anywheel. Apparently, I've already saved approximately SGD 497 through their Bike Pass, according to the app!
That's quite an impressive amount of savings!
But wait, there's more!
Every time I complete a qualifying bicycle ride, I also earn reward points. As of today, I've accumulated 1,535 points, equivalent to approximately SGD 15.35 in rewards value.
These points aren't just numbers displayed on the screen. I can actually redeem them for useful items and promotions!
The rewards shop offers interesting merchandise such as keychains, keycap fidget clickers, bucket hats, and tote bags. Some of these items look quite nice, and I'm considering redeeming a few of them someday.
However, one of my favorite redemption options is the discount coupon for the Anywheel Pass.
For only 50 points, I can redeem an SGD 1 discount on my next pass purchase!
That's another great way to save money, especially since I'm already using the service regularly.
Looking back at these statistics, I feel a sense of accomplishment. What started as a simple way to explore my city has become a rewarding hobby that benefits my health, saves me money, and gives me more opportunities to discover beautiful places around Singapore.
And honestly, the experience itself is already worth it. The additional rewards are simply a wonderful bonus!
That's all for today's post! I'll definitely be sharing more updates whenever I achieve another cycling milestone.
For now, I'm looking forward to more kilometers, more discoveries, and more exciting adventures around my beautiful city!
See you on my next cycling adventure! 🚴♂️
