First of all, I want to say... Welcome to my Grove! 🌱🌳
I can finally say that proudly because today I made what I consider to be my biggest leap in my HiveGrove journey so far. I was able to completely set up my grove by purchasing all the land plots I wanted and planting the trees of my choosing.
I now have 10 lands with 10 trees planted, and honestly, it feels really good seeing my grove finally come to life. Hehehe.
When I first discovered HiveGrove, I never imagined that I would eventually go this far into the game. I actually learned about it through Snaps, where I kept seeing players sharing their achievements, trees, and activities. Naturally, I became curious about what everyone was doing, so I decided to research the game.
What caught my attention was the simplicity of the gameplay and, more importantly, the community surrounding it.
During my first week, I didn't really want to invest much. I simply took care of the free seedling provided by the game and observed how everything worked. I watered my tree, checked the cooldown, and slowly learned the different mechanics.
Eventually, curiosity got the better of me. LOL!
I started buying items such as fertilizers, worms, drones, and other stuff from the shop just to see how they affected my tree. Surprisingly, I found myself enjoying this simple daily routine of taking care of a virtual tree.
Maybe it's because HiveGrove reminds me of those classic virtual games I used to play, where you regularly return to check your plants, pets, or whatever you were taking care of. There's something oddly satisfying about watching progress happen little by little.
But I didn't stop there.
I started participating in the daily missions, helping other players, asking for help at the Campfire, and engaging more with the HiveGrove community. That part made the game even more enjoyable because it wasn't simply about growing trees anymore. There was already a social element involved.
And after spending enough time playing, I finally had to ask myself:
What direction do I actually want to take with HiveGrove?
My final verdict?
I'm going long-term!!! Awesome!
So today, I decided to maximize the number of lands that I can currently own. I bought six additional land plots, bringing my total to 10.
And since I'm going long-term, I thought I might as well buy some of the better trees available. At first, my plan was actually to fill everything with Pine Trees because they were the most expensive ones. LOL! Unfortunately—or maybe fortunately—there's a limit of three trees per species.
So my final grove consists of:
- 3 Pine Trees
- 3 Willow Trees
- 3 Cherry Blossoms
- 1 Maple Tree
That's 10 trees in total!
I also made the difficult decision to chop down my original free seedling. It served me well during my introduction to HiveGrove, but since I'm trying to maximize the potential of every land plot, I decided to replace it.
The free seedling generates around 0.02 HIVE per watering reward, while something like the Maple Tree can generate 0.06 HIVE, with an additional 5% chance of doubling the reward. That's already at least three times the normal earning potential, so for my long-term strategy, replacing the seedling simply made sense.
Seeing my grove fully occupied also unlocked some achievements, including Landowner and Full Grove, which made today's progress feel even more rewarding. My achievements page is slowly lighting up, and I like having those milestones because they give me additional goals beyond simply earning HIVE.
Now the real journey begins.
These trees are still seedlings, so there's plenty of watering, helping, upgrading, and growing ahead of me. Eventually, I want to see all of them reach their maximum stages and find out how productive my grove can become.
For now, I'm simply happy looking at those 10 plots and knowing that I've officially committed myself to this journey.
Time to take good care of my trees and see where this little virtual grove takes me.
