Ottone Pesante

Ottone Pesante is an Italian trio consisting of trombone, trumpet, and drums. They are loud representatives of the so-called Brassmetal and just presented their new sixth album, Scrolls of War. I watched them live with no extras, but this opening song, Battle Of Qadesh (Ft. Lili Refrain), is pretty epic and polished. The sound of the brass is almost indistinguishable from a typical distorted guitar. Maybe they want more reach with this message?

Geordie Greep - Blues

On his new solo album, The New Sound, released two weeks ago, Geordie Greep, one of London's highly regarded Black Midi, asks:

Is The New Sound a tonic for these times?

Listeners will tell. He has worked with Brazilian musicians, so every song has a bit of Brazilian and Afro-Caribbean brass. But really, only a tiny bit.

Cosmic Putrefaction - Eudaemonist Withdrawal

Cosmic Putrefaction is an Italian band from Milan. It is a project of multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer Gabriele Gramaglia. They play cosmic death metal with low-tuned drums and finger-snapping riffs.
The background of the new album, Emerald Fires Atop The Farewell Mountains, is more complex than the long title: a spiritual story that maps the ideas of Dante's Inferno into a more modern setting of the mystical and haunted cosmos imagined by Edgar Allan Poe and H. P. Lovecraft. Source.

GƔbor LƔzƔr - Response

GƔbor LƔzƔr is a Hungarian producer and music creator who records for the independent "artistic platform" Raster from Germany. At the end of September, he released the album Reflex, in which he creates music with unique instruments that he builds in the Max/MSP environment. The sound is highly physical, and the sequencing of sounds evades the listener from the ground beneath his feet, but it still allows one to remove oneself from the sound and listen to it differently from a distance.

Greentea Peng - Tardis (hardest)

Aria Wells, known as Greentea Peng, is an English musician, singer, and songwriter from London. She represents neo-soul and psychedelic R'N'B and presents her new single, Tardis. Whether more will come of it remains to be seen. Otherwise, her sound becomes more polished and softened as she moves from a smaller to a more prominent label.
But that doesn't mean it's not good.

Lucinda Williams - While My Guitar Gently Weeps

American rocker Lucinda Williams has announced a cover album, Lucinda Williams Sings The Beatles from Abbey Road. With her vocals, she breathes a little fresh life into the classics, adding extra depth to George Harrison's lyrical pleas for love. The Americana rock arrangement slowly transforms the song into a stunning ballad.

Primal Scream - The Centre Cannot Hold

Two weeks ago, Primal Scream, a Scottish band active since 1982, released their 12th album Come Ahead. The song The Centre Cannot Hold is the trailer for the album.
Rock'n'roll with a bit of electronica support still works. Fans will not be disappointed.

The Offspring - Come To Brazil

Offspring, the punk rock veterans, have released their 11th album, Supercharged. Judging by the views on YT, followers are still impressed with their version of punk.
The song "Come To Brazil" is dedicated to their Brazilian fans. It will probably become an anthem for them.

šŸŽ¶That's all for today, and enjoy your weekend with new songs!
