NEW MODEL ARMY - First Summer After

Hence, just a few days ago I featured New Model Army in my latest #threetunetuesday post. 26th of January 2024 the latest album 'Unbroken' will be out. So I must at least mention them here.
A classic New Model Army song, with lots of guitars, a fast road-movie rhythm, and great lyrics, all together like a well-aged wine.

Orbit Culture - Sound Of The Bell

Orbit Culture is a Swedish band from EksjΓΆ. They have been performing since 2012, playing the genre of melodic death metal. They have released seven albums and two EPs so far.
Their latest EP The Forgotten was released last December and features this song Sound Of The Bell. Great production and epic riffs.

The Dead Daisies - Resurrected

The Dead Daisies is an Australian band playing classic hard rock from the 1970s and 1980s. New to me. The members are not newcomers but experienced musicians who have also been in other bands such as Guns'N'Roses, Ozzy Osbourne, The Cult, and Whitesnake. To date, they have released six studio albums, one live album, and one album of covers.
Resurrected is a new single. They sound to me like Aerosmith. Is this a good or a bad thing?

WHOM GODS DESTROY - In The Name Of War

Whom Gods Destroy is the new progressive-metal sensation, the follow-up to Sons Of Apollo. Their first studio album "Insanium" is scheduled for release on March 15th, 2024 on the German label Insideout Music.
Here is the first video announcing the album, called In The Name Of War. Very interesting for fans of the genre.

🎡 🎧 🎡

STEVE HACKETT - Wherever You Are

Steve Hackett is an English guitarist, songwriter, and producer. He is best known (at least to me) as the guitarist of the progressive rock band Genesis until 1977, with whom he released six studio and three live albums, and later turned to a solo career and production. He also appeared with Genesis in concert a few more times.
Wherever You Are is a song from his latest twenty-eighth album, 'The Circus and the Nightwhale' which will be released this February.

🎡 🎧 🎡

Ross Valory - Tomland

Ross Valory is an American musician, one of the best-known bass guitarists, who has played in the band Journey, as well as in the Steve Miller Band, Frumious Bandersnatch, and The Storm, and has worked with Tod Rundgren. A few days ago, the 74-year-old announced his first solo album, All Of The Above, which will be released in February.
This instrumental, Tomland, is the introduction to the album.

🎡 🎧 🎡

Bury Tomorrow - Wrath

Bury Tomorrow is a British band from Southampton. They have been performing since 2006 and have released seven studio albums to date, most recently The Seventh Sun, in March last year. Their music is so-called metalcore, a fusion of elements from heavy metal and hardcore punk. Heavy and repetitive guitar riffs, double, fast drumming, and screaming singers give you a taste of this genre.
Wrath is a song from their latest album, released in March last year, but the video was released a couple of days ago. For fans of the genre, definitely.

🎡 🎧 🎡

Kim Gordon - Bye Bye

Kim Gordon is an American musician, singer, and composer. She is best known as the bass guitarist and lead singer of the alternative rock band Sonic Youth, with whom she has released fifteen studio albums, and has also worked on her own experimental and artistic projects.
The song Bye Bye is from her third solo album The Collective, which will be released in March this year. Although dark, and electronic sounds and synth waves are supported it. This adds a freshness and upgrade to the old and classic Sonic Youth sound. Recommended.
btw: the video features her daughter, she looks just like Kim did when she was young :)

🎢That's all for today, enjoy in #newtunes!
