Nice day to check out the local colors. We decided to walk down to the lake.
The lake we walked to is Lake Dunmore in Addison County, Vermont.
A few docks are still in the water but people are starting to hustle getting them out and the summer camps closed down.
It was a cloudy day which reflected nicely on the lake.
Time to head back to the house.
There are several open fields along the walk back. I assume these were grazed or put up for hay when the local farms were still active. Today they are only mowed once or twice a season.
Cool fall days are perfect for a fire.
The good thing about having a young walking partner is you can have s'mores in the afternoon!
