Hello everyone.
This weekend I decided to go for a morning walk and another #WednesdayWalk. It was long time since I took an early walk. Walks need to be peaceful and which is better place than a Park Stojčevac and Velika Aleja promenade. These are green areas with a lot of water and in near proximity of the spring of river Bosna. Landmark of Sarajevo and go to place when you are in for a walking and enjoying greenery.
All of the above places are connected via walkway and paths so it is quite enjoyable and walk friendly.
Almost 5 kilometers for a morning walk was very refreshing.
Usually I start from a Velika Aleja promenade but this time plan was different. We started from a Park Stojčevac without entering park, after we reach Velika Aleja promenade we continue until Spring of river Bosna. Then we come back and finish our walk inside the Park Stojčevac.
And start.
Nice two way walk way toward promenade. Excellent for a walk, run or cycling. Only cars with special permissions can pass through here.
There was more shade on the right side so we were here of course.
And we reached Velika Aleja promenade.
And here we are. Of course that first sight is horse carriage on the promenade.
Leaves started to fall of. Every season so special in Velika Aleja promenade.
Autumn colors.
We walk until the entrance of Vrelo Bosna or Spring of river Bosna and went back.
There were other people as well. This weather is super for a walk and ru.
This is part where we go right. Velika Aleja promenade continues straight.
Back on our way to Park Stojčevac.
We are in the Park. This place is gen especially during hot summer days.
Park Stojčevac has several water springs. There is a lot of water around. Since it was very hot summer with so little rain fall water levels are low here. This is big pond in the Park. You can see that water level is quite lower that usual. I was surprised to see this.
Walkway continues around the pond. I should visit when rainy season start as well.
So many ways to explore. No wrong choice here.
We wrapped up our morning walk here. It was approximately 1 hour walk
with almost 5 kilometers distance covered.
What a way to start a morning.
