Hello music lovers! 🎵 🎧 🎤 🎶

A new portion of #newtunes is here. I'm back from vacation but summer sounds still dominant.

The fact is that these sounds are not exactly top of the pops in the world charts, but they resonate in my ears. The only thing I can rely on after decades of listening to music is my ears. If you like something, that's ok, I hope you'll keep exploring the tunes and the musicians!

Blackoutt - ABORTION

New single from this instrumental stoner-punk Slovenian band. They play hard, painful and harsh. There is no mercy here for soft and gentle sounds. If they persist on this path, something will come of them.

Eric Hilton, mostly known as a member of the Thievery Corporation duo, likes trips to downtempo. Here's one very cool tune that will help you fall asleep or wake up in the morning.

Tom Morello - Highway To Hell (ft. Bruce Springsteen & Eddie Vedder)

Tom Morello, frontmen group Rage Against the Machine has a new album of covers called The Atlas Underground Fire. It features guest appearances by Bruce Springsteen and Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam. It's interesting for me, at least, to hear what they have messed up.

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong - High as Five

I discovered this funky-jam-rock-jazz band a few days ago and I don't know much about it. I became aware of them because of their sound, which sounded like the Grateful Dead. This is my totally subjective opinion. It's not exactly major league (yet), because they're still young, but they will be soon, for sure. They've been doing over two hundred performances a year for the last couple of years. At that rate, you have to become a master. Worth listening to. On YT they mostly have clips of full concerts.

EDI EAST TRANCE BLUES - A u p.m.

Edi East Trance Blues from Croatia flirt with trance and neo blues, Istrian canzona, drum'n'fife, and Siberian steppe poetry. They work as a duo, trio, for parties, and as a quartet. The quality of the band is recognized by the blues community so that it will represent Croatian blues at the "International Blues Challenge", the biggest blues competition in the world, which takes place in the heart of the blues - Memphis.
