Noche de pizzas en" La Guachafita"/ La Asunción 😊🍕 [Esp/Eng]

Hace un tiempo les comenté que en la isla se encontraba de vacaciones mi amiga Rebeca, y de hecho les compartí una de nuestras salidas, pero teníamos pendiente reunirnos con @claudimar, y entre una y otra cosa lo fuimos retrasando hasta ayer porque finalmente hoy Rebeca se regresaba a Caracas, así que sí o sí ayer era el día, y para este encuentro nos decidimos por la Plaza de la Asunción, no solo porque nos queda cerca a las tres, sino porque saben que es de mis lugares favoritos en la isla, y visitarla de noche es realmente genial.

Some time ago I told you that my friend Rebeca was on vacation on the island, and in fact I shared with you one of our outings, but we had to meet with @claudimar, and between one thing and another we delayed it until yesterday because finally today Rebeca was returning to Caracas, so yesterday was the day, and for this meeting we decided on Plaza de la Asunción, not only because it is close to the three of us, but because you know that it is one of my favorite places on the island, and visiting it at night is really great.

Como ya saben esta placita de encuentra ubicada en el casco histórico de La Asunción, y los días sábado hay bastante movimiento, ya que es el lugar de encuentro con familiares y amigos para compartir y disfrutar del tiempo juntos, y en nuestro caso decidimos que nos encontraríamos en La Guachafita un local con mesitas al aire libre ubicado justo al lado de la catedral iniciando (o finalizando el Bulevar 5 de Julio), y que ofrece tanto bebidas como diferentes platillos que van desde perros calientes, hamburguesas, hasta pizzas y tequeños entre otras opciones bastante deliciosas.

La hora de encuentro era a las 6:00 pm pero Rebeca se retrasó un poco al pasar por mí y llegamos pasadas las 6:30 y Claudimar quién ya tenía rato esperando decidió hacer unas cositas mientras llegábamos así que luego nos tocó a Rebe y a mí esperar por ella acompañadas de unas bebidas para refrescarnos un poco y acompañar la conversación.

As you know this little square is located in the historic center of La Asuncion, and on Saturdays there is quite a lot of movement, as it is the meeting place with family and friends to share and enjoy time together, and in our case we decided that we would meet at La Guachafita a place with outdoor tables located right next to the cathedral starting (or ending the Boulevard 5 de Julio), and offers both drinks and different dishes ranging from hot dogs, hamburgers, pizzas and tequeños among other quite delicious options.

The meeting time was at 6:00 pm but Rebeca was a little late in picking me up and we arrived after 6:30 and Claudimar who had already been waiting for a while decided to do some things while we arrived so then it was up to Rebe and me to wait for her accompanied by some drinks to refresh us a little and accompany the conversation.

A esa hora ya estaban ocupadas varias de las mesas de La Guachafita y el ambiente estaba movidito ya que frente al Centro de Artes Omar Carreño tenían algunos stands con artesanías y un D.J. con algo de música para ambientar la noche, y entre eso, las luces que llenan la placita y las personas yendo y viniendo el ambiente era bastante genial, así que la espera fue totalmente agradable.

Finalmente llegó Claudimar y nos sentamos a conversar. Ella tenía mucho más tiempo sin ver a Rebeca, ya que en sus últimas visitas Claudi no se nos había podido unir, así que ya se imaginarán cuánto estuvimos hablando y por supuesto que brindamos por ese encuentro.

At that time several of the tables at La Guachafita were already occupied and the atmosphere was lively because in front of the Omar Carreño Arts Center they had some stands with handicrafts and a D.J. with some music to liven up the night, and between that, the lights filling the square and the people coming and going the atmosphere was pretty cool, so the wait was totally pleasant.

Finally Claudimar arrived and we sat down to talk. She hadn't seen Rebeca for a long time, since in her last visits Claudi hadn't been able to join us, so you can imagine how much we were talking and of course we toasted to that meeting.

Cerca de las 8:00 pm decidimos pedir algo de comer y como les dije La Guachafita tiene opciones bastante variadas además de deliciosas, pero nosotras nos decidimos por pizza y entre todas las versiones que por cierto tienen nombres de playas de la isla, nos decidimos por la pizza Punta Arenas que tenía jamón, mozerella, tocineta y maíz que estaba en serio deliciosa.

Esta venía en dos presentaciones que son mediana (7$) y familar (9$), en nuestro caso, nosotras pedimos una mediana ya que la familiar sería demasiado para las tres, y la verdad no sabría decirles qué tanto se demoró en llegar a la mesa porque la conversación estaba tan buena que en serio no lo notamos.

Around 8:00 pm we decided to order something to eat and as I told you La Guachafita has quite varied and delicious options, but we decided to order pizza and among all the versions that by the way have names of beaches on the island, we decided on the Punta Arenas pizza that had ham, mozerella, bacon and corn that was seriously delicious.

It came in two presentations: medium (7$) and family (9$), in our case, we ordered a medium pizza since the family pizza would be too much for the three of us, and I really couldn't tell you how long it took to get to the table because the conversation was so good that we really didn't notice it.

Como pueden ver en las fotos del menú hay una buena variedad de cositas para comer y los precios me parecieron bastante bien tomando en cuenta que justo ahora la materia prima para elaborar cualquier comida en el país está bastante costosa, y la verdad es que vale la pena porque por lo menos a mí me gustó bastante y por el precio me pareció que tenía una buena cantidad de ingredientes.

Disfrutamos de la pizza mientras conversábamos y luego de terminar seguimos hablando un poco más en La Guachafita, pero luego recordamos los murales nuevos, y como Claudimar no los había visto aprovechamos de dar un pequeño recorrido donde pudimos ver que están trabajando en dos nuevas fachadas que están quedando preciosas por cierto.

As you can see in the photos of the menu there is a good variety of things to eat and the prices seemed to me quite good considering that right now the raw material to prepare any food in the country is quite expensive, and the truth is that it is worth it because at least I liked it a lot and for the price I thought it had a good amount of ingredients.

We enjoyed the pizza while we talked and after we finished we continued talking a little more in La Guachafita, but then we remembered the new murals, and as Claudimar had not seen them we took the opportunity to take a little tour where we could see that they are working on two new facades that are looking beautiful by the way.

Como pueden ver la pasamos genial, conversamos muchísimo y comimos riquísimo en un ambiente realmente encantador, así que sí estás buscando un lugar para un plan familiar o con amigos en un ambiente relajado, al aire libre, y además rodeado de arte, la plaza de La Asunción es el lugar ideal y de paso, no te olvides visitar La Guachafita si tienes ganas de comer o tomar algo rico y pasarla bien.

As you can see we had a great time, we talked a lot and ate delicious food in a really charming atmosphere, so if you are looking for a place for a family plan or with friends in a relaxed atmosphere, outdoors, and also surrounded by art, the Plaza de La Asunción is the ideal place and by the way, do not forget to visit La Guachafita if you feel like eating or drinking something delicious and have a good time.
