The Netherlands is famous for it’s waterworks, next to protecting the ground that is below sea level, they also use the waterworks to preserve sweat water in times of extreme heat. This means that they allow some area’s to float in order to prevent the water to reach the sea (where it will be mixed with salt water. My local place has such a designated area that can be floated. They floated this area and will create a big water supply for times in need.
For me, this means that my usual green zone running route is blocked and I had to find an other route.
Which was pretty fun, with the limited time I had my run moved to the outed sides of the floated area and some of the light industrial area’s.
On Sunday morning it is fine running here, but I personally avoid the area in the evening. For now, just fun bigger empty roads!
It was raining quite a bit but that is pretty nice weather to run in (you can only get this wet) so just ignore it!
Next Tuesday my wife has her 6th chemo, so we are getting closer! Get to be able to run a little this morning to recharge my battery.
Happy running!
